Decibel Productions shines with its new gem “Misfits” by Kerwin Du Boisnow available worldwide from all major digital retailers (released December 16, 2016), from Fox Fuse. “Misfits” was produced by Darien Bailey and Hector Cesar for Decibel Productions and penned by Du Bois, and was created for the 2017 Trinidad Carnival season, where the former International Groovy Soca Monarch is enjoying another successful season.

“Misfits” is an early fan favorite and has been heating up personal and radio playlists since its release. The audio-only video continues to rack up views on YouTube, as the song builds momentum and garners Decibel Productions and Kerwin Du Bois another bonafide hit.

Based in Barbados, Decibel Productions was founded by talented producer Darien Bailey, who was previously part of Studio B, before launching his own imprint in 2016. Just over 20 years since he kicked-off his musical career, when he is not composing chart-topping music, Bailey can be found slaying on a keyboard, working as one of the top keyboardists in Caribbean music. He continues to collaborate with the region’s biggest talents to tackle music from all angles possible, with his long-term goal rooted in the future of Caribbean music on the international scene.

It’s that time of year again and lovers of Caribbean music and culture are excited, as the Annual X-Mas Reggae Splash goes down tonight! In keeping with previous
functions, the 2016 X-Mas Reggae Splash will feature some of the best selectors of Reggae, Dancehall and now Afro-Beat. On the turntables will be: DJ Tiger Moth, Ida I,
Riddim Fex and DJ Black Sheep.

As patrons have come to expect from a Jam Link Intl. event, there will be a spectacular live performance. The featured artist for this year
is versityle urban entertainer, Kingseyes and as this is the last big bang for 2016, there will be an after party.

Tropicalfete is excited to present a community cultural event they’re calling, “A Free Musical Gift To The Community.” There will be performances by Steel Pan Ensemble, Klick Band with a brass section to give you that big band musical feeling. Mesha Steele, Sassy Ramoutar and Daria M will be blessing the audience with a few songs from their catalog. Veteran Calypsoian Dr. Witty will also be taking to the stage – he’s back again by popular demand. The live music will cover everything from pop, soul, classical, zouk, Chutney, reggae, calypso, and Steel Pan, all with a Caribbean flavor. We will also be honoring music producer, Roger Meltzer, with the Tropicalfete Award of Excellence.

The Tropicalfete team would like to thank city council member, Darlene Mealy, Citizens Committee for New York City, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the Mayor’s office, for the role they played in making this event possible.
