Yung Bredda & Mical Teja Will Join Bunji Garlin At Woodford Cafe On Mar. 19th

Soca king Bunji Garlin is making his first appearance at the Woodford Cafe in over two years. On Saturday, March 19th he will join emerging artists Yung Bredda and Mical Teja for a live show at the Woodford Cafe Price Plaza in Chaguanas, Trinidad & Tobago.

Over 30 Acts Confirmed For Trinidad’s Carnival!

Alison Hinds, David Rudder, Nailah Blackman, Preedy, Freetown, 3 Canal, The A Team, Voice, Iwer George and Patrice Roberts are just a handful of the acts confirmed for Trinidad’s Carnival.

The fete will be presented digitally and in-person, live from Sound Forge – #1 Christopher Samuel Drive, Mucurapo Road – in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from Tuesday February 22nd to Monday February 28th.

Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons & Friends To Deliver “Verse 2” On Feb. 24

After teasing it for a few days, Bunji Garlin is now announcing the full lineup for the second installment of the new stage show: Verse. The event will go down at the Naparima Bowl – 19 Paradise Pasture in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago – on Thursday, February 24.

Patrons will be treated to live performances by: Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons, Jadel, Jaiga, Viking Ding Dong, Super Blue, Baron and Ms. Alysha. Tickets are available here.

Bunji Garlin & Mavado To Perform At “Dancehall Vs Soca Unplugged” (@Mavado_Gully @BUNJIGARLIN)

Two Caribbean genres – dancehall and soca – will be on full display on Saturday, February 19th at Main Street Armory (900 E Main Street) in Rochester, New York.

The event, dubbed Dancehall vs Soca Unplugged, will see performances from two of the industry’s biggest artists representing their respective musical styles. Mavado, the Jamaican deejay, will represent dancehall; while Bunji Garlin the Trinidadian sinjay, will be the face and voice of soca.

Early bird tickets, which are now available online, are going for $50 USD. Interested persons should know that there is a limit of four passes per order.

Problem Child & Motto Will Perform Live In Toronto On Jan. 15

After not being able to gather and party for almost two years, soca addicts in Toronto are being treated to the Madd People Fete at the beginning of 2022. It will take place on Saturday, January 15 at Krave Banquet Hall, which is located at 55 Nugget Avenue in Scarborough, Ontario.

In addition to having music provided by some of Toronto’s top DJs, patrons will also get to see live performances from both Problem Child and Motto. Starting time is 10pm and there is a strict no mask, no entry policy. Click here to buy tickets.

Skinny Fabulous, Ricardo Drue & Others Confirmed For Carnival In Abu Dhabi

On Thursday, December 2nd, some of soca’s elites will bring the festive season to Abu Dhabi ahead of the Christmas holidays.
