Karamanti Added To The Lineup Of Artists To Perform At IRIE FMs Health Fair on March 22nd (@Karamanti)

IRIE FM’S Healthy Life Style Health Fair and 10KKaramanti will join a whole host of artists on this years’ IRIE FM Health Fair scheduled for the 22nd of March at Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, Jamaica.

The Health Fair is IRIE FM’s way of giving back to the parish of St. Ann and its environs touching other parishes such as St. Mary, Trelawny and even Clarendon. Between 5,000 and 7,000 patrons are expected to grace the event with their presence between the planned 13 hours with different persons turning out for different reasons, ranging from participating in the road races to taking their children for the fun at the kiddies’ village.

The IRIE FM Health Fair will feature physical activities, health checks, entertainment, food and play area for children. There will be a live outside broadcast starting at 6am with the Africa Forum hosted by Ka’Bu Ma’at Kheru and Muta Baruka.

Donna Makeda Releases Video for “Natty Congo” (@DonnaMakeda)

00Early 2014, the Canadian culture artist Donna Makeda collaborated with Montreal’s Indie-Rootz records and recorded the lead single on the “Natty Congo” riddim. In October the reggae songstress went to Jamaica on a promotional tour, she completed a few shows including a festival at Shan Shy Beach in Portland alongside artists such as Turbulence, Chuck Fenda, General Trees, and Mighty Diamonds. During her trip Donna filmed scenes for her music video.

Donna Makeda is a musical force to be reckoned with! She has been working tirelessly since her very first recording “Gun Bust” in 1993 recently releasing her new single “Shake Dem Off” on the Happy Hour Riddim.

A few weeks ago Donna released the official video for her track “Natty Congo” via Vevo, and it has been receiving a great amount of feedback from her fans thus far. 

Mandeville artist Lee’Tal confirmed for the Blakkout Tour in Manchester (@leetalmusic @blakkwuman22)

LeetalMandeville based recording artist Lee’Tal has just been added to the Blakkout Tour which takes place in that city on April 25th at Qwest Night Club. The event will see other Manchester talents such as Chizem and DJ Neico on the line up and will also include acts from other Parishes. Lee’Tal was added to the event because of his strong stage presence and his ever growing fan base especially in that region. MORE ABOUT LEE’TAL: Lee’tal’s love for music grew as his interest escalated into the audio engineering side of the business where he taught himself and took tips from other producers. Later he partnered and built the Voice Room Recording Studio, which developed his musical ear and production skills. In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities of running the Recording Studio, he still found time to write and record his own material and tour the local and international Reggae scene. He later decided to venture on his own where he continued recording and performing while perfecting his craft.

With an artistic, creative mind Lee’tal is now a part of the ever-growing production brand Inflowmatiq Entertainment Group. Music is his tool used to express himself, it entertains his ever increasing fans, thus earning him endless love and support in his home town Mandeville. He looks at his talent more as a light given to him by God and his duty is to let it shine for the world to see thus uplifting people. Lee’tal was among the selected few artistes for the international campaign, Unite and End Violence Against Women, which was spearheaded by Jamaica’s Bureau of Woman’s Affairs in their television campaign.

Lutan Fyah and Turbulence’s official video for “Criminal” (@LutanFyah1)

15Two of Jamaica’s hottest Reggae artists, Lutan Fyah and Turbulence collaborated on the Empire Riddim which was released in November 2014. The song is called “criminal” and it is produced by Montreal based record label Riddim Wise. They have now provided the official video which definitely complements the track; watch here

This past week Konshens released a John Legend cover of  “Nobody in the World”.  This is the first cover the dancehall super star has ever released in his musical career and it was definitely worth the wait. Not known for doing covers, fans were surprised, yet once they click play fans applauded the unique style Konshens brought to the John Legend single (You & I, Nobody in the World).

Recorded on a reggae rhythm Konshens definitely brings his own style to the single. Produced by SubKonshus Music/RoadLife you still hear some of the dj-ing style Konshens is known for as well as his sultry vocals the females melt for. VybzYaad Radio partners with Blakkwuman22 Music for the BLAKKOUT TOURVybzYaad Radio station which started in Jamaica in April 2013 has partnered with Blakkwuman22 Music to ensure the success of the BLAKKOUT TOUR. Blakkwuman22 Music’s CEO and the owner of the radio station made an agreement approximately a week and half ago that will have VybzYaad Radio providing around the clock promotion for all shows on the tour. Because the station was developed as a means to expose the Jamaican culture to the world they thought it was a good fit to be affiliated with the event.
