Lt. Stitchie To Headline Jamaica Independence Celebration In England (@kingstitchie)

00-StitchieJaIndependenceLt. Stitchie will be one of the headlining acts for the UK’s Jamaica Independence Celebration. The event takes place this Saturday, August 8th at Maestro’s Nightclub in London (291 Kirkdale Road). Accompanying Stitchie will be Little Roy, another veteran Jamaican artist, and the two will be supported by several emerging acts from the UK (Empress Ayeola, Ash I, Cee Marie and Zeena Banks).

Lt. Stitchie has been in the UK since Thursday, July 30th which is when he officially kicked off his 2015 UK tour. His first performance was at the Lewsey Learning Center in Luton on August 1st the following day, August 2nd he was at Crystal Palace Park in London. RICHIE STEPHENS HAS THE #1 SONG IN BRAZIL

00-Richie_Stephens_head_shotWith Richie Stephens’ single ‘Knock, Knock, Knock’ from the album ‘Real Reggae Music’ currently the #1 song in Brazil, it is not surprising that the award winning singer is confirmed to perform there for a series of concerts. The success of the song has generated tremendous interest from promoters looking to book him to perform there.

Aside from Brazil, Stephens said he has club and festival dates in the Bahamas, Germany, Poland, Italy, Switzerland and England. The European tour will last three months, six weeks of which will be spent in England.

While in Europe, Stephens will link up with his good friend Gentleman to perform at some of the big summer festivals. The two will promote their soon to be released single titled ‘Fly Away.’

This is not the first time the award winning singer and German singjay Gentleman will tour Europe. In 2013 with a plethora of hit songs, big stages, flashy lights, and strong performances, the two stars attracted thousands of reggae lovers in England, Germany and Norway. The tour included a memorable performance at the popular three day Summerjam Reggae Festival in Cologne, Germany where they shared stage with Romain Virgo, Snoop Lion, Tarrus Riley, Matisyahu, Morgan Heritage, Alborosie, Busy Signal, Popcaan, Chronix, Major Lazer, Protoje and others.

Stephens three recent singles ‘Everybody Dance,’ ‘Mama’ and ‘Hall of Fame’ are doing well in Europe. They are hits in Jamaica and have charted in Japan, the USA and Canada as well.

Sweden’s Biggest Reggae Star, Etzia, Releases New Video Shot In JamaicaA song that is slowly becoming an anthem on several dub and Traphall based Reggae shows worldwide now has some visuals to compliment it. ‘Jah Will Provide’ performed by Etzia on her recently released five tracks EP entitled  Chapter Done, is powerful, inspiring and captivating all in one.  In the video Etzia who is based in Gothenburg, Sweden (and whose background is a mixture of Jamaican, Trinidadian and Swedish) is seen taking in the sights and sounds of Jamaica. There are scenes reflecting the calmness of rural Jamaica as well as ones showing the business of its capital, Kingston.

The video was directed and shot by Partillo Productions who is also responsible for the entire Chapter Done EP. Editing and Effects credit goes to Jonas Andréen of Lynx Pictures (also based in Sweden). 00-Stushie Working On Reggae Tribute Mixtape Covering Songs By Tarrus Riley, Luciano And Many MoreUK’s new Reggae sensation Stushie is locked away in the studio working on what is expected to be a powerful Reggae tribute mix tape.

Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback she has gotten from covering tracks like ‘stay with me’ by Sam Smith, as well as her medley of Chronixx’s most popular records, her and her management team thought it necessary to release a full Reggae tribute mix tape with her covering songs from some of her favorite Reggae acts. Hence, she will be re-doing songs from Chronixx, Tarrus Riley, Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica, Christopher Martin, Janet Kay and Bob Marley

Magnum Kings And Queens Of Dancehall Contestant Anaicon Featured On New Video By IkonjiAs he gets ready to release his debut album, the 2013 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall contestant Anaicon still manages to find time to work on projects by his label mates. His latest collaboration is with Ikonji, I Nanny and Ras Pree Dem for the track entitled ‘Fyah Rastaman A Burn.’ The song is on the ‘Vybz In The Sun’ Reggae Compilation which is produced by Osujah Records.

The video for ‘Fyah Rastaman A Burn’ was shot in several locations across the island of Jamaica. Additional scenes were taken from different international news media so as to effectively represent the message in the music. The video was just added to MJE Youtube channel and can be viewed here:

11751038_1024672147565562_1380080919_nNigerian Reggae/Dancehall artist and ZiggyBag Entertainment front man Teddy Ziggy just released a powerful roots Reggae track entitled ‘Prodigal Son.’ Because he is known to do predominantly Dancehall and Afro-Beat tracks this new song signifies that he has grown musically.

The song was produced, mixed and mastered by Major P of Waddup Studio. He is also responsible for directing the official video which was released with the record.

The Urban Entertainment artist who recently dropped the video of his single titled ‘Stand United’ featuring Karamanti from (Jamaica) said he is set to take his Reggae-Dancehall tracks to the next level. Many who have heard it are already saying that ‘Prodigal Son’ is indeed mind blowing.
