Watch Highlights from February’s Reggae Link Up here:
Two Jamaican born Philadelphia based businessmen Michael Clarke and Dave Grant are bringing back the mellow feelings of the golden age of Jamaican music to Philadelphia in the form of a Sunday night event dubbed as REWIND.
Steele is known for consistently delivering solid music. This is evident with his extensive catalog and the many awards he has received over the years. The energetic performer/singer/songwriter has seen his fan base grow over the years and he continues to be one of the most requested Canadian Reggae acts. The first single from his upcoming CD date of release to be announced is entitled “WHAT DOES A WOMAN WANT?”
Twin of Twins, Jamaican artists and comedians, who are known for releasing light hearted songs have done the unexpected in their latest video. In it, they feature the dancehall king, Beenie Man, trending young artist, Jahmiel and several other actors and actresses. In an attempt to give the right visual to their single, “shoes like mine,” Twin of Twins, Dann-I and the team deal with the issues of poverty, rape and overall hardship. Watch here and remember to share:
Hailing from Trelawny, Jamaica and based in Manchester, UK, Peppery highlights the increasing gap between the rich and poor with new single Sipple Out Deh (Slippery Out There), a serious conscious message over an acoustic guitar lead reggae instrumental played live by Friendly Fire Band. The artist shows versatility by playing on multiple harmonies alongside his trademark MC style.
Whatage Music, the record label that’s partially responsible for the success of Reggae singer Hezron, has just inked a deal with Manchester based singjay
