New Reggae Release: Peppery – Sipple Out Deh (@pepperyworld)

00-PepperyHailing from Trelawny, Jamaica and based in Manchester, UK, Peppery highlights the increasing gap between the rich and poor with new single Sipple Out Deh (Slippery Out There), a serious conscious message over an acoustic guitar lead reggae instrumental played live by Friendly Fire Band. The artist shows versatility by playing on multiple harmonies alongside his trademark MC style.

A particular interesting fact about this project is that according to Peppery “The Producer Robin Giorno played me the instrumental at the studio and within minutes I was on the mic; no writing of lyrics, just vibing and recording.” For some reason, the track is being listed as “explicit” on iTunes but be assured, there’s no profanity whatsoever in it.

Power House Record Label, Whatage Music, Signs Millitant (@WhatageMusic @millitantmusic @whatagemusic23)

000 MillitantWhatage Music, the record label that’s partially responsible for the success of Reggae singer Hezron, has just inked a deal with Manchester based singjay Millitant.

C.E.O and owner of Whatage Music, Courtney Johnson, met Millitant in the summer of 2015. After hearing his music and learning about his talents as a song writer, producer and engineer, Courtney thought it prudent to enter into a production and management deal with him. The two penned an agreement shortly after meeting and have since released a few singles and most recently, a mixtape.

When asked why he signed Millitant almost immediately after meeting him, Courtney said, “Millitant reminds him of Mavado, only a little more refined in his musical style.”
