Raging Fyah Receives Grammy Nomination for Best Reggae Album (@Ragingfyah)

raging-fyah2016 has indeed been a whirlwind for Pele, Demar, Anthony Watson, Courtland “Gizmo” White and Kumar collectively known as Raging Fyah. Regarded as one of Jamaica’s most promising young acts, the self contained band released their third studio album “Everlasting” to rave reviews from fans and music industry alike.

Proudly the top charting album received the highest honor in music with a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. Recorded live at Kingston’s legendary Tuff Gong Studios by producer Llamar “Riff Raff” Brown (whose credits include: Stephen and Damian Marley, Richie Spice, T.O.K and 2016 Grammy Award winners Morgan Heritage), Everlasting incorporates broad based influences, various acoustic subtleties, and a few guest artists, all of which displayed Raging Fyah’s established reggae identity.

Raging Fyah will kick off 2017 by being apart of California, award-winning reggae group Tribal Seeds”Winter Roots Tour” which will see the bands perform coast to coast throughout the United States commencing in Santa Cruz, California on January 24th, 2017 and ending March 10th in Tucson, Arizona. And an highly anticipated Grandslam 2017 tour alongside legendary UB40.

hezronHezron, one of Jamaica’s most underrated singers, has been confirmed for the Kwanzaa Yawd Niceness concert on December 31st at Ellis Estate, Sherwood Forest in Portland, Jamaica.

Several years ago, Hezron began unleashing a series of hit singles that instantly garnered serious attention within the global reggae music industry. Singles such as “So In Love,” “All Woman,” “Can’t Come Between” and so much more. The songs made significant impact on quite a few international and local charts.

Hezron can be defined as one of the most charismatic, consistent and chart topping reggae artiste around. His determination, persistence, and discipline in staying true to who he is as an artiste is steadily taking him to that pinnacle, where he deserves to be.

Also on the lineup for Kwanzaa Yawd Niceness is reggae veteran, Mikey General as well as fast rising female artist, Karamanti, Digicel’s Rising Star, T-Rizzy, Tolerance and Jemineye. Head of the Jam Link International Association, Henzel Clarke, has announced the new date and location for this years’ Xmas Reggae Splash. The event will be held in the heart of Aarhus at Rodizio Lounge & Restaurant – located at Skt. Clemens Torv 15, 8000 Aarhus, Denmark – on Saturday, December 17th, 2016.

In keeping with past events, this year will also have live entertainment supported by some of the best DJs in and around Denmark. There will be an array of Reggae, Dancehall and Afro-Beat selectors, namely: DJ Black Sheep, Riddim Fex, Tiger Moth and Ruby Sound. Performing live will be versatile Nigerian artist, Kingseyes who is expected to deliver everything from roots Reggae to Soca tracks.
