Likkle Lightning will be opening up for the legendary roots reggae group, Black Uhuru, today in Negril, Jamaica. Yesterday both camps had a great rehearsal and are now looking forward to giving patrons a good performance.

The show will take place at the popular Drifter’s on the Beach (Negril) from 2pm to 10pm. All are invited.

The Sierra Nevada World Music Festival is Northern California’s premier roots reggae and world music festival. This year’s initial list of reggae artists slated to appear includes the Boonville debut of Germany’s biggest reggae star, Gentleman, who will be performing backed by his band The Evolution. Jamaica’s own Capleton will be making his Boonville debut and Tarrus Riley as well as Anthony B will be returning to nice-it-up for the good people of Mendocino County once again. 2017 will also feature the SNWMF debut of rising reggae star Chronixx alongside Zinc Fence Redemption. After their massively successful US debut last year, SNMWF is pleased to announce the return of Italy’s Mellow Mood as well as an appearance of Paolo Baldini DubFiles in the dancehall.

SNWMF is an annual family reunion for many and is known as being one of the most positive festivals in the region. It will take place June 16-18, 2017 at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds located in Boonville, California.

Reggae Open University continues to mainstream reggae with talks at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts with a focus on the proverbial “Gatekeepers” in today’s presentation.

Panelists include Dr. Dennis Howard of the RJR Communications Group, Mr. Clyde McKenzie of Shocking Vibes fame, young promoter Paul “DJ Stamma” Watson and radio broadcaster Captain Collin Hines. The performance section which was introduced to showcase new and upcoming talent will this week feature Eesah and Koro Fyah.

The Chronology tour, a celebration of roots and culture starts March 2nd, 2017, headlined by Jamaican reggae artist Chronixx with Zincfence Redemption band. As the journey spans 40 cities across the United States and Canada, it will feature milestone performances by Jah 9, Jesse Royal, Kelissa, Mr. Williamz and Exco Levi, the vibrant voices of today’s new generation of reggae.

Una Morgan Withdraws from the Morgan Heritage Show in Uganda and Issues Statement (@realunamorgan @morganheritage)

After an exciting and highly anticipated Billboard worldwide premiere of their hit single ‘Reggae Night,’ the Grammy winning Reggae group is embarking on a world tour to the delight of fans near and far!

Renowned for their riveting live performances, the siblings are looking forward to not only engage fans and music lovers with their classic hits but also to share new music from their upcoming Spring 2017 album; music such as “Selah” and “Reggae Night.” Unfortunately, the family’s beloved sister, Una Morgan, will not attend the April 13th, Uganda show per medical orders. As previously announced last year, the accomplished daughter of veteran Reggae crooner Denroy Morgan was hospitalized due to health issues but has since then been on the healthy road to recovery. Singing Sensation, Thriller U Re-releases “In Common” in time for Valentines Day (@thriller_u @nyahblessmusic)

1448598351Nyah Bless Music, the label and management company behind recording artist Thriller U, is gearing up to release the singer’s first album in years. To that end, they have re-released the single “In Common” which was initially publicized a year ago. The song will serve as the first single from the project, which is titled “Genres”.
