Rudebwoy Entertainment presents the 6th annual Island Reggae Festival held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road in San Jose, California.  The event offerings in 2017 include activities on three stages with live music from around the world, and an Island Dance Showcase.  The event also features unlimited carnival rides for children, the USO Car Club Showcase, a Youth Rugby 7’s tournament,  an Island Tattoo Showcase and a free Diabetes Awareness clinic. The gates open at 11am and the event concludes at 11pm.

Jamaica’s roots reggae band Raging Fyah make their first appearance at this year’s festival.  With three albums to their credit, and numerous tours throughout the US and Europe, the band is building a huge following. Their album Everlasting was nominated for a Grammy in the reggae category.

Reggae singer and songwriter, Thriller U, is featured in today’s (May 23rd) copy of the Jamaica Observer – one of the island’s biggest newspaper. In it, the artist talks about his latest song and the associated video, “Non Genuine.”

In the brief, yet telling interview, Thriller U said; “I really hope that the single will reaffirm me as one of Jamaica’s best vocalists and pave the way for reintroducing me to the mainstream reggae industry.”

“Love and Wisdom” was officially released towards the end of 2015 but continues to do well on the global reggae market as Jah Mason and his New Creation Records team have been releasing one single at a time.
