Undeniably one of the most melodious, catchy reggae songs to be released so far for 2018, “Colder Than Ice Cream” by artist / producer, I-Purple, is now available for digital download. The song, which is on his own Purple Keyz Muzik label, is being distributed by Zojak Worldwide and was officially shared on February 9^th.

When asked what inspired the song, I-Purple had this to say: “Well it’s simply how I have seen both male and female treat each other in relationships, cheating; and in ways I thought was really cruel. It’s not something I have experienced myself but I often put myself in others shoes and try to view and feel it through their eyes. That’s where I got the concept for the song.”

On Saturday, March 17th, international recording artist Glen Washington will be performing at the Portuguese Cultural Centre 12964 – 52 Street – in Edmonton, Alberta. There is a lot of buzz around this event because it’s the first time the reggae giant will be performing in the city. Ruach Ru, Jamaica’s very own soulful sistren is back! After taking a little hiatus, the artist has emerged with a catchy, melodious track entitled, “Mr. Player Man.” The song tells the story of a woman in love with a man who is a player; which is unfortunately a very common occurrence in Jamaica.

The song was written by Ruach Ru and recorded at Green Links studio in Ocho Rios. The music was composed by Jupita Redman with additional writing credits going to Claudia Harris. It’s on the TideJam Records label.

At the end of January, international recording artist Konshens released the official video for his latest single, “Beautiful.” The song is on the popular rhythm driven project, Art of Love Riddim, produced by 21st Hapilos.
