The 2019 staging of the annual Bob Marley Celebration in Aarhus, Denmark will take place on February 23rd at Voxhall. Headlining the event will be The Dubbeez, a young reggae collective from Amsterdam and Almere, known for their roots reggae and dub sound. Also on the bill is Aarhus’ own Marley Band and popular roots selector Tiger Moth.

Alborosie Plans Major Euro Tour In Support Of His Latest Album, “Unbreakable – Alborosie meets The Wailers United” (@Alborosie)

Reggae artist Alborosie returns to the European stages in 2019 to celebrate his 25-year career and promote his latest album “Unbreakable – Alborosie meets The Wailers United,” released in June. It features collaborations with the original formation of The Wailers (Aston “Family Man” Barrett, Junior Marvin and Tyrone Downie) and Aston Barrett Jr.

Unbreakable has fourteen tracks of pure roots reggae, as well as some more modern sounds.

On Wednesday, December 26th, Miguel Collins, better known as Sizzla, will headline the Ambition Concert at John Stone Lawn in Mannings Hill, Stony Hill,St. Andrew, Jamaica. Kalonji will be joined by Popcaan, Dre Island, Chase Cross and several other artists. Music will provided by King Tafari and admission is $500 JMD.

Recording artist Gyptian will be hosting his show, Gypy Winter Festival, on Saturday, December 22nd at the Golden Springs Community Center in Kingston, Jamaica.

Luciano and Fantan Mojah will join the likes of Capleton, Richie Spice, Turbulence, Iba Mahr and several other top-tier artists on this event. Admission is $1,500 JMD with proceeds going towards a computer lab at Oberlin High School.

2018 has been a great year for the artist formally known as Assassin. Though he has been in the industry for many years, the general consensus amongst his fans and supporters is that he was never given the proper ratings as a lyricist, performer and / or producer.

That all changed this year with the release of his album Hope River, which was produced at his own Diamond Studio. With two certified hit singles, Winning Right Now and Bank of the Hope, Hope River is undoubtedly one of the best musical projects coming from Jamaica in 2018. Now Agent Sasco is considered to be one of Jamaica’s brightest stars, as he represents the culture with maturity and class.

His brand new video for “Bank of the Hope” gives a glimpse into his life before stardom, and to some extent, what it’s like now. In it, a well dressed Sasco tells how he transitioned from from poverty to wealth by putting God 1st and 2nd and 3rd.

Evidence Music presents the official visuals for A Little Way Different, performed by Errol Dunkley and Cultural Warriors. Though the song was released in October, the video was worth the wait, as it shows African youths skating around and generally having a good time.

Youth for Christ Jamaica presents Genesis Praise Fest 2019 with performances by: DJ Nicholas, Rondell Positive, Kimola Brown and a host of other credible artists and speakers. It all goes down at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on January 1st starting at midnight.

The Jamaica Youth for Christ is a non-profit, volunteer youth organization that seeks to mobilize the message of Jesus Christ to young people and to cater to their holistic needs.
