Buju Banton Is Still The Champion! (@BujuOfficial)

FreedomOn Saturday night, Buju Banton, also known as Gargamel, hosted what is being called one of the best concerts to be held at the National Stadium in a while, The Long Walk To Freedom.

With a lineup that includes some of the best reggae and dancehall artists in the business (Cocoa Tea, Etana, Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo, Marcia Griffiths, Beres Hammond, Wayne Wonder and many more), plus the first performance from Buju Banton, since being released from prison, the people came out in numbers. Patrons flew in from Europe, North America as well as other Caribbean islands to share the experience with Jamaicans at home.

Everyone who attended the event have said how much they enjoyed the show and laments on the fact that Buju Banton is still at the top of his game. The artist performed for approximately an hour, belting out hits after hits, while squeezing in one and two freestyles. It’s now clear that the unfortunate dust up between him and his son did not affect the event in anyway, shape or form; If anything it had more people tuning in.
