The 2019 Dallas Reggae Festival will be held at Longhorn Ballroom Grounds, which is located at 216 Corinth Street in Dallas, Texas. It’s a two-day event that kicks off on August 31st and ends on September 1st; running from 2 to 10 PM on both days.
This year’s performers include: Busy Signal, Culture, Kenyatta Hill, Etana, Everton Blender and others. The organizers would like the public to know that this is a family event so all are invited.
On July 26th, singer, songwriter and producer, Dre Island, released a new single and video titled “Crazy.” The song is a sexy and soulful reggae track that reminds you of that hot and steamy summer love, as well as the trials and tribulations that come along with it.

Authentic Caribbean, the only nationally syndicated radio show with Caribbean programming, presents an up close and personal concert and interviews with reggae band Live Wyya and legendary roots artist Ken Boothe.

The five-track reggae EP by Toronto based artist, Tha Vor, is now available on all digital music platforms. The project, which is dubbed The Mystikal Yute, shows Tha Vor’s deep Rastafarian roots with songs like “King of Glory,” a record honoring Emperor Haile Selassie and “Mystikal Yute,” a descriptive song that focuses on the Emperor’s life from his childhood to his time as sovereign ruler of Ethiopia.

The fireman, Capleton, aka King Shango, will be performing at Flamingo Cantina (515 E 6th Street) in Austin, Texas on Thursday, August 22nd. The artist will have the full support of his backing band live from Jamaica.
Capleton will be sharing the stage with DJ Jah Bill and Roots From The Clay. Doors will open at 9 PM and King Shango will hit the stage at 11:30 PM.
