On Thursday, December 26th, popular UK promoter Cecil Reuben will host international reggae artist Glen Washington at Hootananny (95 Effra Road) in Brixton from 8:00 PM until 2:00 AM the following day.
The event will also feature performances from local talents: Askar, Tasha Love, Clint Walker and others. Backing band for the evening is Ruff Cutt.
A few days ago reggae artist Jah Bouks officially opened his new restaurant in Old Pera, St. Thomas, Jamaica. Named after his hit song ‘Angola’, the Angola Restaurant serves up traditional Jamaican dishes and drinks.
In addition to providing tasty food, Bouks and his team are also offering up the restaurant, which over looks the sea, as a venue for parties, weddings etc.
On Thursday, December 26th the ‘Reggae Life Jamaica Music Festival‘ will be held at Good Year Oval in St Thomas, Jamaica. This event will feature a slew of top-tier artists, one of which is the legendary Ken Boothe.
There is an entrance fee of $2,500 JMD for regular admission and $5,000 JMD for VIP.
B&S Promotion in conjunction with Sunshine Entertainment present Glen Washington live in concert on Saturday, December 21st. This pre-xmas event will be held at the Malcolm X Centre (141 City Road) in Bristol, United Kingdom.
Washington will be supported by several UK artists, with additional music selections from: Qualitex Sound, Docta Flex, Faada Hype and Vybez Squad.
The ‘Let Live Music Live‘ concert, which is hosted by international reggae artist Tarrus Riley, will be held at the Emancipation Park in Kingston, Jamaica this evening!
This event will see not just Tarrus Riley and his band performing, but several others, both emerging and established acts, will hit the stage. As this is a gift to the Jamaican people, it is absolutely free and all are invited.
Appleton Estate will be closing off their Signature Nights series with a massive live band show featuring Agent Sasco, Beenie Man and Romain Virgo. It all goes down on Thursday, December 19th at Sharkies Seafood Restaurant in Runaway Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica.
The show is scheduled to start at 9:00 PM local time and there is a $2,000 JMD entrance fee.
On Friday, December 20th, radio personality Disc-Jock Redeem will be presenting his last broadcast show for the year. He has invited several artists to join him for a live in-studio stage-show starting at 12:05 AM (Jamaica time).
