As he continues to promote his new album, “Upside Down,” Buju Banton will appear on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah tonight, July 21st.
We inquired as to exact time he would be appearing, but that information was not given. However, the program airs on Comedy Central weeknights at 11E&P/10C so Buju‘s supporters will have to tune in to the full show.
The Marley family and Amplified Records have come together to re-imagine Bob Marley‘s classic anthem, “One Love,” in support of UNICEF‘s coronavirus response. The new song and video features artists from all around the world, including refugee camps and crisis zones.

When I first heard that several established artists entered the 2020 Jamaica Festival Song Competition, I immediately began questioning their motives. My thinking was that the competition should be left to emerging acts only, so that they can use it as a launching platform for their careers.
I quickly changed my thinking after hearing some of the songs in the top ten. I have to say that the big acts really delivered, and you can hear their love for Jamaica in every line of their songs. In a ‘Covid Conversation’ held on Thursday, July 16th, Desmond McKenzie – Jamaica’s Minister of Local Government and Community Development – confirmed that the Andrew Holness administration will be easing restrictions on the island’s entertainment sector.
That being said, effective July 21st, 2020, promoters and event organizers can begin hosting outdoor events, providing that they follow all guidelines outlined in the order. This order will be in effect until July 31st, at which time it will be revisited.
