Michael Rose’s April 11th Show In Santa Cruz Now Rescheduled To August 15th – Tickets Will Be Honored

The promoters of the Michael Rose show, which was to take place on April 11th in Santa Cruz, have pushed back the event to Saturday, August 15th. It will still be held at Moe’s Alley, located at 1535 Commercial Way in Santa Cruz, California.

The venue will honor tickets that were purchased for the April 11th date. It goes without saying that these changes are due to the corona virus pandemic.

‘Earth Family Fest’ With Sister Carol Postponed To A Later Date

Earth Family Fest, which was scheduled for March 30th through April 5th at the Itality Gardens at Cranbrooks in St. Ann, Jamaica, has been postponed.

In mid February the organizers announced that Sister Carol would be on the lineup. No other artists were mentioned. Stay tuned for the new dates.

With both the United States and Jamaica restricting incoming flights to their respective countries, it is only natural for event promoters with shows scheduled for March and April in these territories to postpone or cancel their events.

With that in mind, the organizers of Reggae Blaze, which was to take place on Saturday, April 11th, at Main Street Armory in Rochester, New York, has postponed the event to a later date. Capleton was the confirmed headliner for this show.

On March 18th Jah9 premiered the official video for “Note To Self (Okay),” which is a collaboration done with Chronixx. The song is featured on her just released album with the same name; and the video was directed and edited by SAMO.

Jamaican Artists & Event Promoters Encouraging Their Fans / Followers To Stay Home So That Events Can Resume On The Island

So far Jamaica has had only sixteen (16) cases of confirmed corona virus infections, with one death. Out of an abundance of caution, the government has been aggressively promoting and encouraging social distancing so as to prevent it from spreading nationwide.

As such, the Andrew Holness Administration has restricted public gatherings. This undoubtedly affects persons in the music industry, such as recording artists, night club owners, event promoters etc. With that in mind, several artists have been posting on their social media platforms, asking their supporters to stay home! Jesse Royal Postpones All U.S. March, April & May Show Dates (@JesseRoyal1)

jesse royalIt is sad to hear about another set of shows being postponed and/or cancelled, but that is the reality we now live in. See Jesse Royal‘s message below.

Due to the worldwide effects of the pandemic COVID 19 and the high level of uncertainty it has caused across the world, it is with deep regret that the US Tour, scheduled from March 21 to May 2, like several other events, is being postponed until further notice.

Ticket holders are advised to look out for further announcements.

All my brothers and sisters whether living in affected or unaffected zones at this time I just caution you to take all necessary precautions to protect yourselves, family and friends.

Jamaica’s First Reggae Music Festival, Reggae Sunsplash, Will Return In November 2020! (@sunsplashreggae)

There has been rumors here and there since sometime in 2019 about the possibility of Jamaica’s first reggae music festival returning to the island. Maria Jackson Magazine can now say definitively that those aren’t rumors.

Reggae Sunsplash will be held at the Grizzlys Plantation Cove in St. Ann, Jamaica from Friday, November 6th to Sunday, November 8th, 2020.
