Koffee Issues Statement On The Unjustified Killings Of Black Americans At The Hands Of Police

On Saturday, May 30th, Jamaican pop star, Koffee, shared the following statement on her social media platforms:

“As we witness the constant injustice towards our brothers and sisters, we must stand together. I may be young, but I can fully feel the weight of the decades of oppression and abuse towards not only Black Americans, but Black people all over the world. Let George Floyd’s life be not in vein. We must fight for freedom and fight against injustice. We are all in this together. None of us are free until all of us are free.”

New Reggae Release From Jamaican Roots Artist Furious “Jah Never Fail” (@FURIOUSMUSIC20)

FuriousSt. Catherine based roots-reggae singer, Furious, is sharing the first single from his upcoming EP. The track is a praise and worship reggae record titled “Jah Never Fail.”

The alluring single has a vintage sound reflecting the era in which Furious, who is now 71 years old, grew up in. He is both the musical producer and executive producer, although professional musicians were hired to ensure that the rhythm was created with live instruments. All productions (beat and vocals) were done at Studio Mix in Kingston with the help of engineer Mikey Riley. “Jah Never Fail” is on Furious‘ own record label Pawee Tradition.

Furious, who is a committed Rastafarian says that the song is a real reflection of his faith and belief in the Almighty. He further elaborated that every time he has encountered real hardship that seemed impossible to overcome, Jah always pulls him through!

Little over a year ago American singer Lucky Daye gave us his debut studio album Painted. One of the biggest songs from that project was the single Roll Some Mo, which also has a video.

Fast-forward to 2020 and Lucky Daye and his team at Keep Cool / RCA Records have decided to remix and release the aforementioned track. This time around they have invited Jamaican reggae star, Chronixx, to collaborate on the record. Click here to check it out.
