“Soul Of Creation” is the brand new collaborative reggae single from Omar Perry and Perfect Giddimani. Never known to disappoint on their individual projects, these men are a force when they work together.

As Morgan Heritage celebrates two decades in the reggae industry, they’re releasing a compilation, dubbed “Family & Friends Vol.1 – 20th Edition,” due out on October 9th.

The project will feature some of the biggest names in reggae: Capleton, Toots Hibbert and others. Though “Family & Friends Vol.1 – 20th Edition” will not be officially released until the end of the week, it is now available for pre-order via several music platforms.

On Tuesday, October 13th, Ziggy Marley‘s new book, ‘Bob Marley: Portrait of a Legend,’ will be available in hardcover via all the major literary platforms.

The book, which was created in honor of Bob‘s 75th birthday, is a collection of images (pictures) that captures and celebrates the life of the iconic reggae figure.

At the end of September Time One International, which is under exclusive license to Jet Star Music, shared a new reggae single titled “Real Warrior.” The song is performed by Pliers – from the popular duo Chaka Demus & Pliers – and it features Richie Spice.

At the end of September, UK reggae band Steel Pulse released another video from their Grammy nominated album, “Mass Manipulation.” The visuals, which were captured in less troubling times, is for the powerful single “Rize.”

In early August veteran reggae artist Mikey General, who has been active in the reggae music industry for the past forty years, released his 13th studio album. The project, titled “We The People,” coincidentally has thirteen tracks and two collaborations. The combinations are with Sensi and Jah D on the song “Cowboy Times“; and Fantan Mojah on “Jah Is Great.”

“We The People” is a joint effort between Mikey General‘s Qabalah First Music and Footprintz Music Group, an emerging American based record label that’s also responsible for Luciano‘s “Write My Name” album (November 23rd, 2010).

As stated before, Mikey General has been making music professionally for the past four decades. He is known and respected for creating tunes that are about spirituality and social issues. The tracks featured on “We The People” are about the same.
