“This song is a very good one, and I am not just saying that because it is my song, it is really solid. The final product is extremely good; I love the mix, the mastering and the harmonies are exceptional,” expressed Chuck Fenda.

“God Nah Sleep” is an inspirational track that encourages and speaks purpose into the lives of the listeners by reminding them to never give up, regardless what they may encounter in life. In addition to its sweet melody and uplifting message, it also has a catchy hook that makes for an easy and enjoyable listen.

“This song just flowed, it’s very very catchy and easy to digest. The making of this song was just about me finding something memorable and relatable to connect with my audience and at the same time keep people entertained while listening,” Fenda added.

Fitzroy Rocky Francis, Chuck Fenda‘s long time friend and music colleague, was the one who connected him with Big Feet Records.

“God Nah Sleep” is now available on all major music platforms; and the official lyric video can be viewed on YouTube.

Canadian Reggae Artist Josemar Nominated For His first Juno Award (@StarlinersEnt @ItsJosemar)

The Juno Awards, Canada’s equivalent to the Grammys, will be presented on May 15, 2022 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Ontario. The nominations, which were just announced, have one particular Canadian reggae artist and his team feeling very excited about the prospect.

Singer/songwriter Josemar, who is signed to the Starliners Entertainment record label, has been nominated for his first ever Juno in the category of “Reggae Recording Of The Year.”

The nominated song – Don’t Let It Get To You – was released in August 2021 on the aforementioned imprint. Musicians that helped in its production are: Oniel “Drummy” Fuller (drums), Orville “Wyz” Malcolm (keys), Evon “Laza” Lazarus (guitar), Julie Lee (violin) and Tonya P Lovemore (backing vocals). Engineer Everett “Supa Don” Clarke was also very instrumental – no pun intended – in the recording process; while Kearon “DaBoSS” Stephen at LMP Records in the UK did the mixing and mastering. The executive producer is Marlon Lovemore.

Regardless if it is awarded the coveted prize or not, this tune is a winner on so many levels. It is an inspiring record that tells us that even though everything around us may be falling apart, we don’t have to.

When asked what inspired the song Josemar said: “A friend of mine had suggested that I write a song about never giving up. At the time we were all in lock down trying to navigate the pandemic. So in essence it came from our collective experiences of the uncertainty of our lives and trying to not give up hope.”

Tonya P, the woman behind Starliners Entertainment, issued the following statement after hearing the news: “The entire team is thrilled about the nomination and we look forward to attending the award ceremonies.”

Veteran Reggae Artist Echo Minott Confirmed For The Bob Marley Celebration In Aarhus

The team at Jam Link Intl. has just confirmed that veteran Jamaican reggae artist Echo Minott will be performing at this year’s Bob Marley Celebration in Aarhus, Denmark. The show, which was to be held in February, had to be rescheduled because of challenges brought on by the covid-19 restrictions that were in place at the time. The new date is now Friday, April 29, at the popular live music venue: Voxhall.

Echo Minott got his first break in 1980 when he recorded the album “Youthman Vibration” for legendary producer Prince Jammy. However, it was not until 1985 that he became an international reggae star with the monster hit “Lazy Body,” released on the Black Scorpio label. Since then he has been a household name; voicing for numerous producers and performing all over the world.

The organizers are still actively putting the Bob Marley Celebration show together and will make additional announcements in the coming weeks.
