Mykal Rose Collaborates With Spanish Group Gondwana On New Single

Spanish reggae group, Gondwana, have released a new song and video titled “We Are The Lions.” The record is a collaboration done with Jamaica’s music legend Mykal Rose.

We Are The Lions” was written by the leader of Gondwana, I Locks Labbé, and it’s inspired by both the awareness and resistance of the Rastafarian culture.

Winston ‘Flags’ Smith Shares New Video For His Trending Single “The World Is On Fire”

The official video for “The World Is On Fire” by veteran reggae artist Winston ‘Flags’ Smith is out now. The visuals, which show countries all over the world struggling with a global pandemic, economic collapse, racial injustice, climate crisis, crime and violence, accurately reflects the words in the song.

The World Is On Fire” is on the Crichton Clique Worldwide music label, and it features top-tier musical talents like David Simmons on drums, Anthony Crichton on Rock Guitar, Patrick Quest on Keyboards and Guitar; with harmonies by Shauna Dazzle Dixon.

One of dancehall’s most beloved artist, Super Cat, is back with a new song and video titled ‘Push Time.’ The song is featured on Salaam Remi‘s upcoming album, ‘Black On Purpose,’ which is due out soon.

Legendary Vocalist Pam Hall Delivers Another Hit!

The Jamaican artist who is fondly referred to as ‘the musicians’ singer,’ Pam Hall, has delivered what many are calling a guaranteed hit. The song, which is titled “Want U 4ever,” is a lover’s-rock reggae track that was released independently a few days ago. On the record Pam laments on her undying affection and desire for her love interest, with crafty lyrics penned by herself and Errol Wilson. 

Pam explains her inspiration behind the record as follows: “The song was written by myself and Errol Wilson. It started from imagination and also picturing that kind of situation where a woman is the aggressor, expressing her secret crush and strong desire for a deserving man, but in a way that is not as raw or visual as we have gotten accustomed to. In her mind she is lyricsing  di bredrin lol.”

The rhythm for “Want U 4ever” was composed by some of the biggest musicians in the reggae industry; Sly Dunbar on drums, Computer Paul on bass and keys, with Pam Hall also contributing on keyboard and bass. Harmonies were done by Pam, her son Akil and her daughter Tafina. It was mixed by Lynford ‘Fatta’ Marshall and mastered by Chris Daley.

International reggae group, Morgan Heritage, have announced that they will be performing at their first and only live-stream concert for 2020. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th, starting at 2:00 PM EST.
