Micah Shemaiah Connects With Asadenaki On New Four-Track EP (@MicahShemaiah)

Authentic rub-a-dub are the first words that come to mind when describing the new EP from Jamaican artists Micah Shemaiah and Asadenaki. It’s titled Riddim Wise, which is also the name of the Canadian production duo that’s behind the project.

Reggae Vibes Music Shares New Single By Sizzla Kalonji (@ReggaeVibesMus1)

At the end of August Reggae Vibes Music will release the Rock All Riddim, a thirteen-track reggae compilation featuring some of the most respected artists in the reggae-dancehall industry. 

The project will have new music from Sizzla Kalonji, Jah Cure, Lutan Fyah, Turbulence, Bescenta, Fiyaneer, Richie Spice, Anthony B, Dreama, Powerman, Snatcha Lion, Kendallaz and Rufftop Rock I

The lead single, Get Out A Babylon System, which is performed by Sizzla, was made public last week and has been getting nothing but positive reviews, particularly from music critics. As he is known to do, Kalonji delivers a strong message to the youths, advising them to become independent and self reliant. Hence the title, Get Out A Babylon System.

The Gladiators, Droop Lion, Andrew Bees Of Black Uhuru & King Hopeton Will Perform At Moe’s Alley On Aug. 28

On Saturday, August 28th, several established reggae artists and musicians will come together for a night of roots music at Moe’s Alley (1535 Commercial Way) in Santa Cruz, California. The lineup includes The Gladiators, Droop Lion, Andrew Bees of Black Uhuru and King Hopeton.

Patrons should know that effective immediately the management at Moe’s Allley have updated their safety measures and require proof of vaccination for entry to all their shows. Masks will also be required when indoors.

Prezident Brown Joins Don Carlos, Pato Banton & Others On Rasta At Shasta Fest

Rasta At Shasta Music & Camping Festival is scheduled for August 26 through August 28 at the Shastice Park (800 Rockfellow Drive) in Northern California. The family friendly event will feature a kid’s fun zone, yoga and sound healing workshops, camping and of course live music.

Dancehall Artist Mackamilli Drops New Video Celebrating Jamaica (@Mackamilli)

Mackamilli, a former member of the popular 90’s dancehall group Innocent Kru, has been aggressively focusing on his solo career in recent months. In addition to working behind the scenes as a video director and label owner, Macka has also been busy creating and releasing new music. His latest is a family friendly dancehall tune called Welcome To Jamaica. He shared it on August 6th, the island’s 59th Independence Day.

In Welcome to Jamaica Mackamilli laments about the nation’s music, food, culture and lifestyle; all while bragging about it’s athletes and their accomplishments. It is worth noting that on that very morning the Jamaican women’s 4×100-meter relay team took home the gold medal at the Olympics.

On the same day that he published the song Macka also uploaded the official video to his channel. And as he himself is a well respected videographer, he made sure to create some visuals that capture both the mood and vibe of the record.

Dancehall Artist Lion Face I-Talawah Voices On The “Restart Riddim” (@Blakkwuman22)

In a few weeks Blakkwuman22 Music, the record label owned and operated by dancehall artist Karamanti, will release the Restart Riddim. This is a hardcore dancehall juggling that will feature new music from various artists. Among those that will be on the project is popular Jackson Town deejay Lion Face I-Talawah.

Lion‘s new song will be a follow up to his now trending single, Survivor, which was shared earlier in the year on the Mountain Top Riddim (Haile Cush Records). Although that compilation featured mega stars like Jah Mason and Fantan Mojah, it was Lion Face‘s Survivor that captured the attention of the masses.

In an effort to maintain the momentum, two days ago Lion Face joined Karamanti in the studio and recorded a powerful song titled Truth. On the record, the hardcore lyricist touched on everything from the lowest form of poverty to the highest form of corruption; all while highlighting his Rastafarian faith.

Jamaica’s Living Legend Jimmy Cliff Shares New Music “Human Touch” (@jimmycliff)
