New Date For The Annual Bob Marley Celebration In Aarhus, Denmark

On Friday, February 9th, Henzel Clarke – the chairman of Jam Link International – announced that the new date for the 2022 Bob Marley Celebration will be Friday, April 29. Although the event normally takes place in the month of February, the decision to move it to April became necessary because of covid-19 restrictions that were in place at the time of its planning.

Aarhus’s annual Bob Marley Celebration started out in a small venue and initially featured mainly local talents; however, it has since expanded to a bigger location and has seen several international reggae and dancehall stars gracing its stage.

The organizers are now in the process of finalizing the lineup for this year and will share that list in the coming weeks.

King Jazzy’s “Choppa Life” Is Now In The Top-Ten On Richie B’s Dancehall Singles Chart (@kingjazzyBee @bridgewayartist)

King Jazzy‘s Choppa Life, released in early October of 2021, has now made its way to the top-ten on what is considered to be one of the most credible dancehall charts in the reggae-dancehall industry: Richie B’s.

In early December the song was added, and has since been slowly climbing; getting ahead of more prominent tracks like: Busy Signal‘s Wah Gwan Mad HeadBounty Killer‘s Dat’s GadzillaCham & Spice‘s Condensed Milk; to name a few.

Unfortunately the phrase Choppa Life carries a negative connotation. However, on his song, King Jazzy elaborates on the hard work he’s done over the years, while expressing gratitude for his current lot in life.

In addition to being a full-time recording artist and producer, King Jazzy is also a video director who runs his own production company: Electric Sticky. What’s more, outside of music he has created two cannabis dispensary brands in Michigan (U.S.A).

Joanna Marie’s “My Best Boy (Close To You)” Has Entered New York’s Reggae Chart

Reggae Global Entertainment, the imprint that is owned and operated by power couple Joanna Marie and Ed Robinson, has started the year by releasing good music and getting the appropriate acknowledgement for doing so.

In January, Joanna published My Best Boy (Close To You), a remake of John Holt‘s classic: Be Close To You (My Best Girl). Her version is now enjoying steady radio rotation and feature on various reggae platforms worldwide. Its success is due in part to the fact that she is the first woman to provide a female’s take on this massive hit.

In addition to the aforementioned, My Best Boy (Close To You) has now entered New York’s Reggae Chart, which is curated by popular radio host Clinton Lindsay. We reached out to Joanna Marie for her feedback on the news and she said the following.

“Words can’t express how excited I am to enter The Foundation Radio Network New York Chart! I do believe this is my first time on this chart. South Florida chart is quite often but this is a great feeling entering this one for the first time! Nuff respect to all my supporters and all of the supporters of The Reggae Global Ent. Family! Special respect to Ed Robinson for producing this track!”.

Fiyaneer’s Biography (@ReggaeVibesMus1)

Fiyaneer is not your average reggae crooner or DJ. His passion for his craft as well as the genuine charisma with which he composes and presents the topics that are depicted in his music, certainly sets him apart from his contemporaries.

Fiyaneer, christened Odene Burke, hails from the rural community of Allman Hill in St. Catherine and attended the educational institutions Allman Hill All Age and St Mary’s College in Above Rocks. He discovered his love for music in his formative years and is always eager to share stories detailing how he used to stay up with his father who would allow him to sing and DJ using his uncle’s sound equipment, way into the nights after the parties that they used to host had ended. Seeing that he was always immersed in an atmosphere that was permeated with the sounds and rhythms of reggae; it was only natural that he would have developed an affinity for the genre.

Fiyaneer honed his craft by working over the years, with groups such as Kanastone which also featured popular recording artiste Bescenta. He has also worked with the prolific King Jammy’s. This well rounded ambassador of culture has also entered the Jamaica Festival and Tastee talent competition and presented original material in both contests. His work represents strongly for the reggae genre, his lyrics are intricately crafted masterpieces that details vividly, the experiences of the down casted and down trodden members of society, staying true to the roots and the essence of reggae music. He has an unmistakable passion for social justice and for seeing the needs of the less fortunate being met, this concern for the disenfranchised members of the society, is always depicted in his music.

Fiyaneer is a musical craftsman who manages to create and deliver consciously potent music, whilst remaining humble and grounded.
