Artists can start to apply for the 2019 SXSW ‘Showcasing Artist’ slots as of June 25th. Selected artists will benefit from career changing exposure and publicity provided by the amazing mix of influential participants who attend SXSW every year.
Showcasing at SXSW means performing in one of Austin’s famous live music venues for 30,000 industry reps, 3,000 media members, and thousands of fans and fellow musicians from all over the world.
On Monday, June 11th, RnB singer Janelle Monáe will kick off her Dirty Computer Tour. The singer will be making stops in several cities across the United States and will even cross the border into Canada for shows in Ontario and Vancouver. Some shows will see other international acts join Janelle Monáe; artists such as The Weeknd, Meek Mill, Erykah Badu and several others.

Three-time GRAMMY award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Scott will be heading out on the road this summer. The artist is confirmed for 13 cities, making stops in both Canada and the United States. The tour, which is dubbed ‘Live in the moment,’ will kick off on Thursday, June 21st at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, MN.

Dick Clark Productions and NBC have announced that “2018 Billboard Music Awards” host, Kelly Clarkson, and two-time Billboard Music Award winner, John Legend, will both perform on the three-hour live telecast, airing Sunday, May 20th at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC.
The artists will join previously announced performers BTS, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Shawn Mendes on a night filled with music’s biggest names. The show will feature performances from this year’s hottest musical acts, unexpected collaborations and buzzworthy moments that celebrate 60 years of the Billboard Hot 100.
