GH Artist OBIBINI Releases Unity Song Ahead Of Wednesday’s Election – Song Produced By Jamaica’s DJ Rhome (@Obibiniboafo @Dj_Rhome)

15259703_10208838346928978_1548603979804471778_oLife and peace are two of the most important things we often take for granted. Only a few people know what life is worth and even fewer people know peace is not free but priceless. Before Ghana goes to the polls again on Wednesday, December 7th, Obibini has released yet another well knitted piece of advice to Ghanaians in a song he titles, “oneness.”

Produced by DJ Rhome of Rhome records in Kingston Jamaica, “oneness” was recorded and mixed by Skinny Willis in his Amazing Studio in Accra Ghana.

Easily yet very vividly expressed, Obibini calls for oneness drawing the nation’s attention to its culture; what we eat, drink, festivals we celebrate that unite more than divide us. The song also makes a case for national unity amidst our tribal and political diversity. Deeply thoughtful, the rapper suggests the need for one to exercise his or her franchise, ensure a free and fair election, tolerate and accept the outcome of elections; and to desist from taking contracts to cause mayhem; as a means to support the electoral process and sustain peace in Ghana.

Canadian Artist UZMAN Rebrands With New Logo showing His Fusion Of Reggae And Hip-Hop (@UZMAN1)

slider-img0Having collaborated with established Reggae acts such as Jah Mason and Junior Reid, UZMAN has always fused his party-style rap music with Jamaica’s roots Reggae. In an attempt to show his love and commitment to both genres, he is now officially rebranding himself and releasing a new logo that he is calling: Fusing DA Fusion.

Though UZMAN resides in Ontario, Canada, he frequently visits and works in Jamaica; constantly promoting his collaborative Reggae releases. In Jamaica he is called the Patois Rapper, while in parts of urban America he is referred to as the Reggae Rapper. Knowing that hip-hop was originally created by a Jamaican, UZMAN believes he is a true representative of both genres.

With the single “night life,” which was a combination with Jah Mason, sitting atop several reggae charts worldwide, UZMAN is confident that this idea to rebrand and focus on fusing the different styles, is the way to go. For more about UZMAN visit his official website: http://www.uzmanmusic.com

New Hip-hop Video: Rapsody – Crown (@rapsody)

rapsody

With most female MCs talking about their sex appeal and most male MCs talking about their cars, chains and women, a hip-hop record telling black kids that they’re Kings and Queens stands out like a sore thumb.

Noth Carolina’s native, Rapsody – who recently inked a deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation – just released her EP entitled CROWN. The official video for the lead single, with the same title, is extremely powerful and impactful, as it speaks to the strengths and not the weaknesses of the Black community.
