Canadian Artist UZMAN Rebrands With New Logo showing His Fusion Of Reggae And Hip-Hop (@UZMAN1)

slider-img0Having collaborated with established Reggae acts such as Jah Mason and Junior Reid, UZMAN has always fused his party-style rap music with Jamaica’s roots Reggae. In an attempt to show his love and commitment to both genres, he is now officially rebranding himself and releasing a new logo that he is calling: Fusing DA Fusion.

Though UZMAN resides in Ontario, Canada, he frequently visits and works in Jamaica; constantly promoting his collaborative Reggae releases. In Jamaica he is called the Patois Rapper, while in parts of urban America he is referred to as the Reggae Rapper. Knowing that hip-hop was originally created by a Jamaican, UZMAN believes he is a true representative of both genres.

With the single “night life,” which was a combination with Jah Mason, sitting atop several reggae charts worldwide, UZMAN is confident that this idea to rebrand and focus on fusing the different styles, is the way to go. For more about UZMAN visit his official website: http://www.uzmanmusic.com

New Hip-hop Video: Rapsody – Crown (@rapsody)

rapsody

With most female MCs talking about their sex appeal and most male MCs talking about their cars, chains and women, a hip-hop record telling black kids that they’re Kings and Queens stands out like a sore thumb.

Noth Carolina’s native, Rapsody – who recently inked a deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation – just released her EP entitled CROWN. The official video for the lead single, with the same title, is extremely powerful and impactful, as it speaks to the strengths and not the weaknesses of the Black community. Jerry Wonda

German Dancehall-Djs Jugglerz and HipHop-Producer Jopez have signed with Jerry Wonda, Producer of the Album “The Score” by The Fugees. The team is currently in New York working on various projects at the exclusive Platinum Studios in Manhattan.

It’s a major step for German producers to be officially part of one of the world’s most influential Hip-Hop and Pop Music entities. The three-time Grammy Winner, Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis is the man behind some of Pop-Music biggest hits such as Whitney Houston’s “My Love Is Your Love,” Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” or Carlos Santana’s “Maria Maria.” Jugglerz has entered the US Billboard Charts for Reggae Albums with their Label-Album “Jugglerz City” in April 2016.

Having met with Jugglerz for the first time in May, it was an instant connection between the focused and work-minded characters. Five months and three visits to New York later, Jugglerz and Jopez are now signed to Wonda Music, which sets the foundation for many fascinating projects.

Producing new beats and riddims for artists as well as re-working on the Studio’s large catalogue is daily business at Platinum Studios. Some of the projects include some of Pop-Music’s biggest names.

New Hip-hop Release: K’ Valentine – Atlanta (@theKValentine @JavottiMedia)

k-valentine-1Javotti Media’s artist, K’ Valentine, just released her latest single entitled “Atlanta.” Though she seems to be rapping about an intimate relationship with a man named after the city, she shared a statement explaining that she is indeed speaking about Atlanta. In her statement she said:

“Those who know my story know I was born and raised in Chicago Illinois and that I rep my city to the fullest. But Atlanta GA has always had a special place in my heart. I have an immense love for the city and the people who live there. This song is a love letter to a place that has given me a lot of inspiration, but it’s really up to the listener to interpret what it means to them.”

The record has a very laid back, catchy feel to it. Music critiques are already predicting that it will become a hit.

The feedback we received from both the judges responsible for selecting finalists and the audience who attended the evening can be suitably described as a ‘pleasant shock and surprise’.
