Karamanti Releases Thought Provoking EP “The Black God”

Black God coverBlakkwuman22 Music is pleased to present THE BLACK GOD EP. It features four new songs from Karamanti plus the already popular, BACK AGAINST THE WALL, which was done with Mikey General.

THE BLACK GOD is a diverse project covering four genres: poetry, reggae, dancehall and hip-hop. It features collaborations with Jamaican reggae veteran Mikey General and Ghanian rap artist Obibini. All vocals were written by Karamanti – with the exception of Obibini and Mikey General’s verses which were composed by the respective artists.

As fans and supporters of Karamanti have come to expect from her, this EP is jam packed with controversial issues ranging from sexual education for children to religious racism. Not wanting the entire project to sound too contentious, she has also included a motivational track entitled I BELIEVE IN YOU.

Several talented beat makers contributed to the EP, namely: Alpheus (Germany), Spugy B and D’Ave Productions (Jamaica) and Beat Monsta (Ghana). All songs were mixed by Audio Traxx Productions in Old Harbor, St. Catherine, Jamaica, with the exception of BACK AGAINST THE WALL which was mixed by ODB in Accra, Ghana and BLACK REVOLUTION done by Nad Xclusive, also in Ghana. All the backing vocals were done by Snysh at Mixing Lab Studio in Kingston, Jamaica.

GH Artist OBIBINI Releases Unity Song Ahead Of Wednesday’s Election – Song Produced By Jamaica’s DJ Rhome (@Obibiniboafo @Dj_Rhome)

15259703_10208838346928978_1548603979804471778_oLife and peace are two of the most important things we often take for granted. Only a few people know what life is worth and even fewer people know peace is not free but priceless. Before Ghana goes to the polls again on Wednesday, December 7th, Obibini has released yet another well knitted piece of advice to Ghanaians in a song he titles, “oneness.”

Produced by DJ Rhome of Rhome records in Kingston Jamaica, “oneness” was recorded and mixed by Skinny Willis in his Amazing Studio in Accra Ghana.

Easily yet very vividly expressed, Obibini calls for oneness drawing the nation’s attention to its culture; what we eat, drink, festivals we celebrate that unite more than divide us. The song also makes a case for national unity amidst our tribal and political diversity. Deeply thoughtful, the rapper suggests the need for one to exercise his or her franchise, ensure a free and fair election, tolerate and accept the outcome of elections; and to desist from taking contracts to cause mayhem; as a means to support the electoral process and sustain peace in Ghana.
