With the release of his new album, “Streams of Thought – Volume 2,” Black Thought and the entire Roots Crew are in high demand. Though they’re currently engaged in a mini Christmas tour, The Roots are now confirmed for back to back shows in Vegas and Colarado in the new year.

On February 22nd, they will play The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas (4555 Paradise RD). And on February 23rd, they will be at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver (1510 Clarkson). Below are ticket links to both shows.

On April 14th, 2017, two of hip-hop’s most lyrical MCs, Talib Kweli & Styles P, got together and released an album titled Seven. Done on the Javotti Media and 3D label, Seven received great reviews from hip-hop critics all over the world.

On his latest single entitled Star Wars, Canadian hip-hop artist Tha Vor gets deep as he
talks about the power struggle taking place on the spiritual plane. Using references to the Book of Enoch, Tha Vor (when explaining the inspiration behind the song) tells MJ Magazine that: “rulers and leaders above our perception engage in a war, basically a fight for power.”

Earlier this year on June 15th, Nas dropped his album Nasir, which received a lot of mixed reviews from both his fans and music critics. Some felt that the project was rushed, while others said it’s not on the level of his previous projects.

Approximately five months later, Nas puts all concerns to bed when he released a mini film in support of the album. A few days ago, on November 15th to be exact, Mass Appeal uploaded the visuals to their channel and so far all the critics that we’ve checked with have nothing but glowing reviews.

A few days ago, TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) artist Jay Rock, shared the official video for his track For What It’s Worth. Produced by Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, Dave Free and Ryan Huffman, For What It’s Worth is featured on Jay Rock’s album Redemption that was released earlier this year.
