Cellus Hamilton’s Book Debuts In The Top 50 On Amazon Rap Books (@CellusHamilton)

One month after Cellus Hamilton delivered his child in unassisted home birth, the Atlanta rapper surprised his twenty thousand Instagram followers by posting a bright orange book containing the bold title “If Jesus Was a Rapper.” The post garnered quite a bit of excitement as many followers immediately shared the post and commented, asking when the book would be available for purchase. Now, Cellus Hamilton is officially releasing the commercial, which details that the new book is already available online.

While few may be familiar with Cellus Hamilton and his music, he is no stranger to the music industry. He has released two charting albums, most recently “Washing Her Feet” (2019), and began rapping and touring at just eight years old. Hamilton has described his book as a half memoir, half expository—challenging readers to examine their music consumption as well as the art they create themselves. To challenge hip-hop culture and evangelize his faith, Cellus has invited his readers to use their imaginations to help them see Jesus faithfully in their modern-day context.

Online sources and product descriptions say that the book highlights Hamilton‘s struggles within the music industry, his philanthropic work in urban communities, and educates about the history of hip-hop and how that should inform how we judge and perpetuate it. While it is still a new release, many suspect that the book will reveal Hamilton‘s honest critiques of specific artists and seek to discourage our support of them. Instead, Hamilton‘s opinions raise new questions and concerns, mainly about what qualifies Cellus Hamilton to be so sure about His critiques, especially without us having the ability ever to attend a concert or observe the music platform of Jesus.

The short one-minute commercial also uses a new song Hamilton recently released under the same name as the book title. Sources close to Hamilton have also revealed that there will be an audiobook, narrated by Cellus Hamilton, released at a later date.

George Nooks’ Bio (@Tadsrecord)

From day one singer George Nooks has proven that when it comes on to his talent, he is multifaceted. It started in the early years of his career when he managed to score hits under two different names.

Most artistes find it difficult enough to make that connection under one moniker, but for George Nooks he pulled it off with his birth name and under his moniker Prince Mohammed – with songs such as Forty Legs, Bubbling and the very popular JC Lodge combination Someone Loves You Honey.

Fast forward to the 2000 and Nooks has once again shown that he cannot be boxed in where his talent is concerned. After chalking up one hit after another with his smooth voice delivering perennial favorites such as Left With A Broken Heart, Hero, Since I Fell For You, Riding For A Fall and the Chilites cover Homely Girl, Nooks turned his attention to gospel and the connection was instant!

Fast forward to 2021 and the impressive trail he has made since he stamped his mark with God Is Standing By to gospel classic covers including Ride Out Your Storm, I Must Tell Jesus, God Is Always There For Me and so many others which sees him being a top request for church as well as secular events.

How does he do it?

It’s all about love is what the artist will tell you as he says love for his mother and grandmother saw him honoring her last request that he sings the songs of Zion. His only regret is that she never lived to listen the first track he did for her, but in his heart he believes she knows.

Whether gospel or the feel good love songs for his many fans, George Nooks who got his first break in 1974 as a deejay on Discomix recording the covers of an artiste he held in high regard and admiration Dennis Brown’s Money In My Pocket and How Could I Leave.

Nooks has over the years since he first broke out on the scene continued recording albums such as Today and other singles.

As 2021 winds down Nooks has shown that there is no slowing down where his career is concerned. COVID-19 pandemic might have put a dent in live shows and slowed down the entertainment sector a bit, but when it comes on to getting a positive voice out there…there is no slowing down.

His latest album on the TAD’S imprint has shown that – Through It All – is an album for the times with tracks such as You Are God, He’ll Do It Again, Where Do I Go and God of the Mountain.

Commenting on the album, Nooks said it speaks to his life, the times and just to anyone who is looking for hope and encouragement.

George Nooks’ New Album “Through It All” Is Out Now! (@Tadsrecord)

Through it All … If ever there was a time when such words were on point it is now. Through the challenges of the pandemic and other testing events our anchor in God has brought us through. George Nooks’ new album Through It All is a timely gem to musically quell our weary hearts and souls. Nooks is known for choosing some classic songs and presenting them in a manner that gives listeners a soothing feel and transcendent lyrics to rock and mediate on.

George Nooks has always enjoyed hearing joyful noises to the Lord. Since he was a boy going to the Mount Carmel Apostolic Church in his hometown of King Weston in rural Jamaica.

The singer, who has made a name belting out gospel songs like God is Standing By and Ride Out Your Storm, continues his inspirational journey with Through it All, his latest album which is being distributed by Tad’s Record Inc. It contains 13 songs including the title track as well as gospel standards such as Amazing Grace, I Surrender All and a spiritual interpretation of The Stylistics‘ You Make Me Feel Brand New.

“From I was little I listened to some of these songs in church. My grandmother was the mother of the church and I used to be there with her all the time,”Nooks recalled.
Though his initial hit songs like Tribal War and Fortyleg Dread made him a dancehall star in the late 1970s, Nooks erupted in 2000 with God is Standing By, a foot-stomping reggae cover of a soul song originally done by Al Green in the early 1970’s.

Nooks has released a series of gospel hits since then. And even though he periodically dabbles in secular music, he says it is important to keep things clean. “I don’t do derogatory songs. I never did any song I couldn’t go into the church and sing.”

Through it All is exclusively produced by George Nooks for Tad’s Record Inc. It is available worldwide.

We have come to expect nothing less of George Nooks and yet again he has surpassed our expectations with this remarkable album. This album is dedicated to all persons yearning for spiritual upliftment.
