Karen Clark Sheard Inks Deal With Motown Gospel (@officialkcs)

American Grammy Award-winning Gospel singer, musician, songwriter and businesswoman – Karen Clark Sheard – has entered into a deal with Motown Gospel. It’s a three-way partnership that also involves Karew Records, Clark Sheard’s own imprint.

Her fans and supporters should know that this means that her first album, since the 2015 Destined To Win, is coming later this year.

Deadline To Submit to The 2022 Jamaica Gospel Star Competition Is Feb. 28

For those not in the know, submissions are now open for the annual Jamaica Gospel Star Competition. Therefore, if you are interested or if you know anyone who is, you can click here to download the information guide. It includes the rules and regulation, as well as a link to the actual entry form.

The most important thing to know however, is that the deadline for submission is Monday, February 28 at 4:30pm (Jamaica time).

Harlem Gospel Choir Just Confirmed For Blue Note Hawaii (@harlemgospel @bluenotehawaii)

The famed Harlem Gospel Choir will head to Honolulu this Easter weekend for an event dubbed: ‘Easter Brunch With The Harlem Gospel Choir.’ 

They’re scheduled to do back-to-back performances on April 16 and 17 at Blue Note – 2335 Kalakaua Avenue – in Honolulu, Hawaii. On both days the choir will deliver two sets; one at 10:30am and another at 2pm.

Known for singing contemporary gospel with a touch of jazz and blues, the Harlem Gospel Choir is synonymous with power vocals, glorious sound and infectious energy. For over two decades they have been America’s premier gospel choir and have toured the globe thrilling audiences with the inspirational power of black gospel music.

Catch Dale Brown’s Live Recording In Toronto Next Weekend

Next Saturday, February 12th, international gospel artist Dale Brown will do a live recording for his new project, ROUTE 7.

Location is the Revivaltime Tabernacle at 4340 Dufferin Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Brown will be joined by several performers from various countries: Michelle Adams, Renwick Duesberry, Kevin Adams and more. Starting time is 6pm EST.

Patrons should know that everyone in attendance will be expected to wear either a face shield or mask at all times. Tickets will be $35 at the door.

Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Kierra Sheard Kelly Among Performers Confirmed For The 2022 Soar Awards

Soar Awards 2022 will be presented in both a virtual and in-person format this year. Under the leadership of host Todd Dulaney, it will take place at Forest City Church in Rockford, Illinois on Monday, March 7th.

Ministers that will be featured are Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard Kelly, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Anthony Brown, Jonathan McReynolds, Tim Bowman and more. Emphasis will be placed on honoring Bishop William Murphy, Dorinda Clark Cole and Pastor John Hannah.
