Reggae Artist Little Hero Is Still Shinning!

Paul Gayle – publicly known as Little Hero – continues to make good music approximately two decades after he officially entered the reggae-dancehall industry. He recently released a catchy single called Keep Shinning; featured on the Rooted & Grounded Riddim by Paul Patmore Production.

The St. Ann’s singer who had his first major hit in 1994 (God Alone, a collaboration done with Merciless and Action Fire) is, in all likelihood, sitting on another number-one record. On Keep ShinningLittle Hero stuck to the theme of the EP, which is inspirational and faith based.

In addition to Hero‘s tune, the Rooted & Grounded Riddim has another five songs, namely: Born Again (Lukie D), One Day (Jodian Pantry), Thank You Lord (Tony Curtis), the title track, Rooted & Grounded (Terry Linen and Dipmatik) and finally, the instrumental.

Producer Paul Patmore is now coming to terms with the reality that he may have two breakout songs from the same compilation trending simultaneously. The lead single, Terry Linen and Dipmatik‘s Rooted & Grounded, is the first to enter heavy rotation on reggae-dancehall platforms globally. It now has to share the spotlight with Hero‘s Keep Shinning.

Mr. D Explains The Inspiration Behind His Latest Single “Vision”

Growing up in the Maxfield Avenue community of Kingston, Jamaica, singer Mr. D remembers he and his brother spending hours at the revival church beside their home. He treasures those childhood days when they played the drums that belonged to the “Mother lady” who ran the church. It inspired “Vision,” his latest song.

Mr. D actually recorded the single years ago but it was never released. This time around, he gave “Vision” a spiritual beat and released it on his label. “I don’t belong to any denomination but yes, I do consider myself a religious person,” said Mr. D, who lives in Georgia

“Vision” is his follow-up to “My Reward,” which was released early this year. After writing songs for other artists including The SilverstonesMr. D kicked off his recording career in 2020 with the humorous “Pum Pum Yam.”

Dancehall Artist Charly Black Kicks Off Album Tour (@Charlyblack876)

In 2020 the music industry was hit hard by covid-19 resulting in a lot of live shows being cancelled. Although the global coronavirus pandemic remains an ongoing health crisis, some performers have been gradually returning to the stage.

One such performer is diamond selling recording artist Charly Black, who broke barriers, transcending into an international star with his track “Gyal You a Party Animal.”  He sporadically performed over the summer, doing intimate venues as well as major events like the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup; 16th edition of the biennial international men’s football championship.

That said, it was just announced that Charly Black has kicked off the official tour in support of his new album Rio Bueno. As it stands right now there are 19 dates confirmed across the United States of America and Canada, with more to be announced.

Capleton’s “Control Your Tempo” Is Exactly What Jamaica Needs Right Now (@capletonmusic)

Over the weekend the prime minister of Jamaica, Mr. Andrew Holness, announced that States of Public Emergency (SOEs) are now in effect in seven police divisions islandwide. They were put in place to curtail upsurges in violent crimes.

With that in mind, the release of the official video for Capleton‘s Control Your Tempo, could not come at a better time. The song was released in October and the visuals were shared at the beginning of November.

The record is relevant now because of the strong message it sends to criminals and would-be lawbreakers. Click here or on the image above to watch the video, but more importantly pay close attention to the lyrical content.
