Paul Patmore Production Joins Bandcamp & Is Now Doing Bookings

Emerging music label, Paul Patmore Production – owned and operated by businessman and former politician Paul Patmore – is now expanding its services. Effective immediately, in addition to producing and promoting quality reggae and dancehall music, they will be operating as an independent booking agency.

One of the company’s first signees is Jamaican singing sensation Jodian Pantry, whose upcoming EP – which is due out in July of this year – is being produced by the imprint. PP Production is now her non-exclusive booking agent. They have also just added upcoming dancehall artist Fresh King to their roster.

The creation of a Bookings Department is just one of many changes at Paul Patmore Production. In an effort to further expand their reach, the label has joined bandcamp, the online audio distribution platform that allows fans to buy directly from producers and artists; effectively cutting out the middleman. They have also created a bandcamp account for their first lady, Jodian Pantry.

Karamanti’s Album “Spiritual Warfare” Nominated For ‘Album Of The Year’

At the end of May the organizers of the Antigua & Barbuda Gospel Music Awards published the nominations for the 2022 staging. Surprisingly, dancehall artist Karamanti made the shortlist for Album of the Year, with her December 2021 ten-track LP Spiritual Warfare.

Prior to getting this nod, the independently produced record – which is on her own Blakkwuman22 Music label – had been described as thought-provoking, unworldly, hardcore-dancehall and diverse; never religious!

That said, with songs like: Start with a Prayer, God Answer Prayer, Rate You, Faith, Sabbath, 3 Weapon, Blood Sacrifice, People of the Lie and SurviveKaramanti – though shocked by the news – welcomes the acknowledgement from the gospel community.

Producers that worked on Spiritual Warfare are: Lamar Thompson (Jamaica), Delroy ‘Phatta’ Pottinger (Jamaica), Donald ‘Tixie’ Dixon (Jamaica), Teban Cee (South Africa), Major P (Czech Republic) and Arioso Legato (U.S.A.).
