Two of Dancehall’s most lyrical artists have collaborated on a track (@AgentSasco @kingstitchie)

Two of Dancehall’s most lyrical artists have collaborated on a track

Assassin aka Agent Sasco & Lt. Stitchie

Assassin, also known as Agent Sasco was in studio with iconic Dancehall artist Lt. Stitchie last week to lay vocals on a track that they have yet to title. Both men got together at Penthouse Recording Studio and recorded what many consider to be a masterpiece for Stitchie’s album which will be released this summer.

This collaboration is particularly interesting because most hardcore Dancehall fans consider both Agent Sasco and Lt. Stitchie to be among the best as far as lyrics are concerned. Fortunately, the Island Groove Video Show was taping at Penthouse that very night so they captured the entire recording session. Watch a snippet of Assassin and Stitchie working on new music here:

The Jamaica Tourist Board Expresses Interest In Partnering With The Organizers Of The Aarhus Reggae Festival

The Jamaica Tourist Board Expresses Interest In Partnering With The Organizers Of The Aarhus Reggae FestivalThe Jamaica Tourist Board is now in talks with the organizers of the Aarhus Reggae Festival as they are interested in partnering with them for the 2015 staging of the festival as well as future events. Both entities believe that as Danish people are allotted approximately six weeks of vacation time annually and are known to be the most travelled in Europe, this will be beneficial to the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB).

One of the main features of the Aarhus Reggae Festival will be highlighting and promoting all things Jamaica. There will be exhibition booths and a segment dedicated to encouraging Danes to visit Jamaica. The producers of the festival will also commit a section of the show to having someone from their team talk about visiting and investing in Jamaica. This will be done on stage on both days.

Swedish Reggae Artist Etzia Breaks New Ground (@EtziaMusic @Partillo_prod)

Etzia_Chapter_done_cover_1_frontSwedish Reggae singer Etzia who has done collaborations with Charly Black, Future Fambo, Lutan Fyah and Collie Buddz recently partnered with Partillo Production on her latest EP entitled ‘Chapter Done.’ Both individuals have worked ceaselessly to create a unique sound that many are saying is a whole new genre. It is a collection of tropical vibrations mixed in with some Nordic elements. To hardcore Reggae fans it is reminiscent of dub, roots and house all in one. They are calling this new sound Traphall.

Persons familiar with Traphall says it is properly defined as a music which consists of reggae, dancehall, hip hop and electro. When asked why they have decided to focus on this genre for ‘Chapter Done’, Partillo says “this type of original sound is needed to satisfy Etzia’s vocal expression”.

Etzia_Chapter_done_cover_2_backChapter Done’ is produced by some very established musicians and producers (based in Europe), namely Partillo, Mastah L and Nils Dahl. The EP is available on ITunes now; persons may download it at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/chapter-done-ep/id972474872 and DJs can send an email to mariajacksonent@gmail.com for a promotional copy.
