Lt. Stitchie To Headline Jamaica Independence Celebration In England (@kingstitchie)

00-StitchieJaIndependenceLt. Stitchie will be one of the headlining acts for the UK’s Jamaica Independence Celebration. The event takes place this Saturday, August 8th at Maestro’s Nightclub in London (291 Kirkdale Road). Accompanying Stitchie will be Little Roy, another veteran Jamaican artist, and the two will be supported by several emerging acts from the UK (Empress Ayeola, Ash I, Cee Marie and Zeena Banks).

Lt. Stitchie has been in the UK since Thursday, July 30th which is when he officially kicked off his 2015 UK tour. His first performance was at the Lewsey Learning Center in Luton on August 1st the following day, August 2nd he was at Crystal Palace Park in London. Major Jamaican Networks Refusing To Play The Video For ‘Fake Rasta’ Due To Its ContentA few TV stations in Jamaica are refusing to add Karamanti’s video for the song ‘Fake Rasta’ into rotation unless changes are made. Their concern lies with the word OBEAH which is used in verse two on the track. Although the word is not considered a curse word many gate keepers to the various networks have made it clear that they are not comfortable putting the video on air and have gone as far as to advice Karamanti to edit out the word and resubmit the video.

Per the request of the artist, Ramon Lindsay, the video editor has made the necessary changes and so the video will be resent to all Jamaican networks. Anyone wanting a copy of the video with the word OBEAH edited out may download it from the link below. Watch the original video here:
