KARAMANTI TO BE FEATURED ON TANZANIA’S SAUT FM THIS WEEKEND

KARA TANZANIA INTERVIEW

Jamaican recording artist Karamanti will be featured on Mwanza City’s SAUT FM 96.1, this weekend. Karamanti’s agent was contacted by radio host Franckie Tower, who expressed interest in interviewing her and doing a special presentation on her music.

The pre-taped interview will air on the popular Ngoma Program this Friday, March 10th between 14:00 and 16:00. It will be repeated on Reggae & Dancehall Vibration on Saturday (March 11th) between 17:30 and 19:30.

In the interview, Karamanti speaks extensively about her upcoming ep entitled THE BLACK GOD, which was due out in February, but have been pushed back to sometime in March. She also talked about her recently released video – Back Against The Wall, with Mikey Generalwhich can be viewed here.

Love and Harmony is the 1st Annual Reggae Cruise sailing on February 27th, from Miami, Florida to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for 5 days and 4 nights. Reggae artist Thriller U is one of the many acts confirmed to perform on the cruise.

Tomorrow, February 24th, Burundi gospel artist, JiJi Seven, will join a lineup of stellar acts at the Higher Life Church in Göteborg, Sweden, where he will perform songs from his album, “He Knows Me.” The event is being called a ‘Night of Praise and Worship’ and it focuses on highlighting talented youth Ministers such as JiJi Seven.

Smilin Island Food is pleased to present the 24th Annual 9 Mile Music Festival. The event will be held on March 11th at the beautiful Historic Virginia Key Beach Park located at 4020 Virginia Beach Drive, Miami, FL. Doors will open at 1pm, rain or shine.

The festival will be hosted by Lance’O of Kulcha Shok Muzic and will include performances by DMX, Julian Marley, Capleton, Mavado, Sizzla, Kreesha Turner, Charly Black, Matamba, DJ sets by Jahstream and Mighty Crown, and more. Further lineup announcements will be made soon.

Besides the music, there will be a holistic village with services such as acupuncture, massages, and yoga, as well as nutritionists and life coaches. We will also have body painting and a drum circle on the beach. Although this is an adult festival, children under 10 enter free as long as they are escorted by a guardian.

Expect a day full of music, many different cultures, foods and drinks: from Jamaican jerk chicken and other popular Jamaican dishes to Latin food, arepas, pizza, Chinese food, fresh salads and vegetarian food.

To keep up the tradition, a donation of 4 canned goods is still required for entry. This practice has been going on since the very first edition of 9 Mile Festival 24 years ago, and all goods are contributed to charity. This year the festival will support Kurlys House & Food for Life.
