Fresh from a scintillating performance at the 25th anniversary of Rebel Salute held at the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory, St. Ann.  An9ted Entertainment recording artiste Bugle is definitely experiencing a major career upsurge in recent times.

The singer who recently secured an international movie deal which sees him exclusively providing music for the soundtrack of the upcoming film ‘The Mango Girl’ and a single on another 2018 film ‘The Blue Mauritius’ both produced by U.S Media tycoons D Street Pictures, has once again landed another major deal. This time for his latest album ‘Be Yourself‘.

The deal, brokered with an international distribution company will see Bugle repackaging his current album for redistribution across several major markets, some not easily accessible by the Reggae and Dancehall genre.

Several well-known artists are now coming to the forefront to publicly speak out against what is going on in the Jamaica music industry.

During her performance at the December, 2017 staging of the Portmore Fest (held in Portmore, Jamaica), Queen Ifrica lamented on the low moral values across the island. She addressed the selectors / DJs / MCs who are pushing the negativity in the dance. She voiced her concerns about the rapid growth of alcohol, lesbianism and homosexuality among the youths. And she touched on the importance of artists like her staying in the business to preach a message of positivity, righteousness and upliftment.

Additionally, Rasta reggae singer I-Wayne, in a recent feature in The Observer, while talking about the importance of giving equal airplay to conscious artists, said the following: “It’s obvious seh a mostly nastiness them a promote. You have whole heap of artistes like Queen Ifrica who is making good music, but some people are making it 30 times harder for us. We see the raping, killing and paedophilia a rise in the country and we, as Rasta, get up and burn it; but dem a gwaan like badness a something good. The majority of people a promote this big nasty contest and some artistes do anything fi get airplay. Dem fi clean up dem ting and remember that kids are listening. Play di goodness as much as unno play Ishawna and Alkaline. From you talk the truth and burn filthiness, you will get punished for it; but mi nuh give dem weh dem want, mi give dem weh dem supposed to get.”

Capping off another successful year with his award-winning inspirational anthem ‘Success Story’; touring the United Kingdom; lending support to Caribbeans & U.S hurricane victims; embarking on a two-month island-wide campaign, bringing social awareness to school children in Jamaica regarding the use and impact of social media. 2017 was a good year for Reggae firebrand Nesbeth and with such achievements, he is looking to do even more phenomenal things in the new year.

Set to release his first official single for 2018 dubbed ‘My Year’, the insightful crooner is now back in the studio laying down a number of recordings for his debut album. Titled ‘A.M.E.N‘, Nesbeth says the name was inspired by his late wife Ann-Marie Elliot Nesbeth whose initials forms the acronym.

Produced on the Entertainment Soul recording imprint, the album will feature a number of unheard exclusives with a few surprise collaborations. Known for his musical erudition, Nesbeth says fans will be thoroughly pleased with the offering. The compilation is expected to be released later this year.
