stitchie lifeLt. Stitchie will receive a Lifetime Award at the 36th International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA). This is for his more than 35 years of outstanding contributions to reggae music over the years, and it’s in addition to his Best Gospel Entertainer nomination.

The 36th IRAWMA winners will be presented on Sunday, March 18th, 2018, in conjunction with the 37th Annual Chicago Music Awards at the Logan Center for the Arts – University of Chicago in Illinois.

Karamanti continues to tackle thought provoking topics in her music. Her latest single, Slave Mentality, addresses ego driven artists who seem to be overly obsessed with fame and hype.

I Octane JboogI-Octane recently released his new single “Pretty Loud,” which features two time Grammy nominated Reggae artist J Boog, and simultaneously announced that he will join him for selected California tour dates.

The latter will be in support of I-Octane’s anticipated third full length album titled “Love and Life,” which is set to release on March 30th, 2018. The California leg of JBoog’s L.O.E tour will introduce reggae star I-Octane to new fans and deliver a dose of Jamaica’s steeped vibes to San Luis Obispo, Bakersfield, Fresno, Redway and Monterey.

Aidonia & Govana Goes Mainstream with ‘Breeze’ (@AIDONIA4THGENNA @GOVANAGENNA)

breeze video shoot2018 is definitely shaping up to be another exceptional year for the 4th Genna camp, as label-mates and Dancehall front-runners Aidonia and Govana have once again found themselves in the international spotlight with their latest effort ‘Breeze. The hypermasculinized track dubbed the follow-up to ‘Run Road‘ has been annexed to mainstream radio via the ‘C-List’ on BBC Radio.

The addition signifies the track will now officially enjoy premium day-time rotation alongside the likes of Grammy winners and nominees Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Drake, Migos, Post Malone, The Weeknd, Chronixx and Kendrick Lamar. Named 2017 ‘Breakthrough Artiste of the Year‘ in several quarters, Govana says he is very pleased with the revelation. Last September Aidonia’s monster hit ‘Yeah Yeah made its debut on the station’s B-List.

Amassing over a million views online, the two have enlisted the services of accomplished video director RD Studios for the official visual which is slated for release in the weeks ahead. The video was shot throughout the Kingston and St. Catherine metropolis and exhibits the duo living a life of opulence.

Meanwhile, the 4th Genna hitmakers have managed to nab a combined eight nominations for this year’s Your View Awards (YVAs) and  International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) respectively. Govana has been nominated for the YVA’s ‘Breakthrough Artiste of the Year’, while Aidonia remains in contention for Hottest Summer Song for ‘Yeah Yeah’, Favourite Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Favourite Carribean Artiste of the Year’, Favourite Local Male Artiste of the Year and Favourite Chart Topping Song of the Year.  At the IRAWMAs he’s nominated for ‘Deejay of the Year’ and Song of the Year with ‘Banga’.

Call On JahThe brand new EP by Florida based reggae/dancehall artist, Zally, is now on iTunes, Amazon and all other digital platform where music is sold.

The project, which is titled “Call on Jah” has seven tacks, no collaborative feature and is jam packed with positive, uplifting music. Released on the C-Hawk Productions label, “Call on Jah” was produced by Grab Dem Records, with executive production credits going to C. Taylor Hawkins. All songs were written and performed by Zally.
