Craigy T’s Biography (@Craigy_Tok)

Craigy T bio picCraigy T (born Craig Thompson) is a Jamaican Reggae music singer, songwriter and record producer. He gained worldwide acclaim as a member of the Dancehall / Reggae quartet T.O.K., landing five spots on the Billboard Hot 100 during their close to two decade-long run as one of Jamaica’s premier acts. Their breakthrough hit “Eagles Cry” produced by the legendary Dave Kelly, soared to #1 in Jamaica in 1999 and made them a force to be reckoned with in the Jamaican music scene. This was the turning point in Craigy T’s career. The group had a string of hit singles including “Guardian Angel,” “Footprints” and “Gal You A Lead.” The momentum of these recordings opened the doors for the group to start touring Europe and the Caribbean before moving on to Africa, the U.S. and Japan, where they scored platinum and certified gold selling albums.

After a long and prosperous run, in 2016 the members of the group decided to take on solo careers and have stopped recording as a group. Craigy T has taken this opportunity to focus on his own solo projects and launched his own GafJam imprint.

Thus far, he has seen a successful solo journey with his current singles ‘No Space,’ ‘Alive,’ ‘Gonna Be Alright’ & ‘Pull It Up’ gaining rotation in the United Kingdom and the United States on major stations like Hot 97, Power 105, Hot 93.7, B87, 99 JAMZ, BBC 1xtra and many more.

With his new image, style and material, Craigy T promises to continue to satisfy T.O.K. and Reggae music fans around the globe as he continues to produce, perform, and release music on GafJam and other labels.

Romain Virgo Set To Release New Album On March 30 (@RealRomainVirgo)

RomainVirgocropVP Records is proud to announce “LoveSick,” the upcoming album from rising reggae star Romain Virgo will be out on March 30th. The 17-track album takes listeners on a journey that explores every emotion felt when finding love, losing love and finding love again. In the many twists and turns of romance and relationships, Romain represents a young man who has experienced it all and now has a dynamic story to tell.

Executive produced by Niko Browne for Lifeline Music, with additional production by Sting International and Vikings Production, the album presents a new pop reggae sound traced with his signature lovers rock style woven throughout. The first single ‘Now’, released last Summer, was the introduction to an energetic dance groove on the Skank and Rave rhythm. Highly contagious, the song alludes to a transitional musical direction. On the other spectrum, “Trouble” is reminiscent of his popular songs “Soul Provider”, “Fade Away” and “Cry Tears For You”. The bluesy, smooth rhythm released in November, showcases the sick side of LoveSick, as he tells a tale of a woman who persists on breaking up his happy home after a one- night stand.

The latest single “Still” is a passionate ballad over the upbeat Skyspraper Riddim by Richie Stephens, a forthcoming video is expected in March. The album also includes Romain’s stirring version of the Sam Smith smash “Stay With Me.” The song has become a fan favorite across the globe, rivaling popularity with the original version in Japan.
