As a part of the celebration for Credit Union Week, Credit Unions of Jamaica will host a virtual comedy show and concert on Sunday, October 11th – starting at 4PM (local time).
The event, which will stream live via all the Credit Unions of Jamaica’s social media platforms, will feature appearances by comedians: Johnny, Dahlia Harris, Chris Larmond and Kathy Grant. The musical entertainment will be provided by recording artist Wayne Marshall.
Since 2015, the International Coffee Organization have been celebrating ‘International Coffee Day‘ on the 1st of October. This is now recognized and honored by coffee consumers around the world.
In keeping with the aforementioned, tonight Nestcafé Caribbean will host a virtual concert on their Facebook and Instagram accounts, starting at 7PM EST. In addition to announcing specials and giving away prizes, the event will also feature live performances by Alison Hinds, Agent Sasco, Beenie Man and Patrice Roberts.
Producers of the Florida, New York, and Canada Grace Jamaican Jerk Festivals along with Orlando and Palm Beach festivals have partnered to celebrate the food, music, art and culture of jerk in an unprecedented way with the National Jamaican Jerk Day.
On Sunday, October 25, the celebration of Jerk will not only be about food, the sounds of great music will also play a big role on this special day. VP Records, a proud partner of the Florida & NYC Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival‘s, will host the “Best of the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival,” a two-hour live stream airing on their YouTube channel.
This live-streamed production will feature exciting performances, highlights from previous years, creative demonstrations by celebrity chefs, as well as features on vendors and sponsors.
“Talk Dem a Talk,” a new dancehall single from international recording artist, Capleton – also known as King Shango – is arguably one his toughest dancehall release in recent years.
Trying to find the words to accurately describe this song is proving to be difficult; but I will say that it does have the energy and vibe of one of his earlier hit song, “Tour.”

Unfortunately we have to report yet another major event cancellation due to covid-19. This time around it is the annual Queens of Reggae Island Honorary Ceremony, which is usually held in the month of October.
The event, which started approximately five years ago, is committed to highlighting and honoring Jamaica’s influential women in entertainment.
Beenie Man‘s new single, “Election Time,” done in collaboration with Swiss producer 808 Delavega, is now available on selected music platforms. The song is featured on the producer’s self titled upcoming album, schedule for release in December.
