This company was established in the first quarter of 2007 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, by its CEO and owner, Maria Jackson. Its mission is to spotlight quality, uplifting music created by Black artists or inspired by Black culture, while also sharing the stories and creative journeys behind the music whenever possible.

Maria – Chief Executive Officer & Director of Operations
As the visionary founder of Maria Jackson 27, Maria Jackson leads the company with strategic insight and an unwavering commitment to excellence. In her dual role as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Operations, she oversees all major initiatives, drives organizational growth, and ensures that the company continues to highlight quality music and compelling stories from Black creators. Her leadership forms the foundation upon which the company’s reputation and continued progress are built.

Lakai – Administrative Assistant
Serving as the company’s Administrative Assistant, Lakai provides essential organizational and operational support. From coordinating communications to assisting with planning, content development, and research, this role ensures that day-to-day activities run efficiently and that all team members are positioned for success.

Jen – Office Assistant / Office Associate
Jen plays an integral part in maintaining a productive and organized workspace. As the Office Assistant and Office Associate, she supports administrative functions, manages essential office tasks, and helps facilitate smooth internal operations. Her attention to detail and reliability contribute significantly to the company’s overall workflow.
