Skinny Fabulous to Headline Miramar’s 5th Annual Afro-Carib Festival

The City of Miramar has announced the 5th Annual Afro-Carib Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, the event, which serves as a dual celebration of Black History Month and Reggae Month, will be held at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater.

Hosted by Commissioner Carson “Eddy” Edwards, the evening promises a high-energy atmosphere with a headline performance by renowned artist Skinny Fabulous. Doors are set to open at 5:00 PM, with the official showtime beginning at 6:00 PM.

Woodford Cafe will host a premier entertainment experience on Friday, January 23rd, featuring a high-energy lineup led by the “Water Lord” himself, Iwer George. The event, titled “Iwer’s Night,” kicks off at 9:00 PM at the cafe’s location, Shop C1, Price Plaza North, Chaguanas. Trinidad Carnival 2026 is set to host one of its most significant cultural showcases with the announcement of “Monday Madness: Soca Insanity.” Scheduled for February 9, the production centers around a headline performance by soca icon Machel Montano & The Monk Movement.

Notable performers joining the stage include Voice, Mical Teja, Nailah Blackman, Farmer Nappy, and Nadia Batson. The diverse roster also highlights regional favorites such as Ding Dong, Freetown Collective, and Teddyson John, supported by Evolution the Band.

Jab Decisions Tour Brings Soca or Die Energy to Toronto on Boxing Day

Soca or Die: Jab Decisions Tour will be bringing high-energy soca culture to the city of Toronto this Boxing Day. The event lands on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, located at 410 Sherbourne Street, downtown Toronto.

With a newly added date and expanded lineup, the show features performances from V’ghn (“Jab Decisions”), Tallpree (“Do for Do”), Muddy (“Payroll”), Lil Kerry (“Bury All”), and Dred Lion (“Grease It”).

Denise Belfon’s Pre-Thanksgiving Birthday Bash

There will be a vibrant pre-Thanksgiving celebration as the legendary Denise Belfon, the Queen of Soca from Trinidad, hosts her annual Birthday Bash. Presented by Wee Culture DMV, it’s scheduled for November 21, 2025, at the Fire Station at 8131 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland, and it will run from 9 PM until 3 AM.

In addition to a live performance by Denise Belfon herself, guests will be treated to music from Jadel, Yankey Boy, DJ X Factor, and Geoni. Attendees can also look forward to enjoying Dane’s Famous Corn Soup.

Sexy ‘N’ White returns this Miami Carnival season with a star-studded lineup. The event takes place on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Daer Nightclub, located at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood, Florida. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the party continues until 2 a.m.

This year’s stage will feature live performances from soca sensation Mical Teja, reggae legend JC Lodge, Blaka Dan, Dread Lion, Raymond, Anika Berry, Edwin Yearwood, Grenada road march champ Lil Kerry, and more artists yet to be announced.
