From Jan. 16 to 21, 2017, the JAHJAH Foundation will host Mission for Change 2017, a six-day event to help provide better care for under served Jamaicans. With over 20 American medical volunteers available for support, the organization hopes to raise money to support the Mission For Change 2017. We are asking for support to raise $12,000 for young athletes from local high schools to receive free premium, life-saving medical screening procedures.
“Bob Marley was one of the first men who said … ‘my life is for everybody. And if my life is only for me, then I wouldn’t like my life.’ And I can say that I feel the same way. My life is for everybody,” passionately says Trevor Dixon, MD, RDMS, Founder/CEO of JAHJAH Foundation.
Following recent sport-related fatalities among young Jamaican athletes with undiscovered heart conditions, the One Love One Heart project provides free echocardiogram and EKG tests for these students. The JAHJAH Foundation is looking for sponsors to help these athletes receive critical tests. The organization hopes to fund 100 tests, each costing $120, all proceeds will go to cover the cost of the free echocardiogram and EKG test.
