The Jamaican (Ottawa) Community Association Incorporated invites you to celebrate 53 years of Jamaican Independence in Ottawa on August 8th, 2015!

The 3 day celebration begins with a thanksgiving Service (August 2nd), co-hosted by the High Commission for Jamaica to Canada, at Ottawa Church of God (OCOG), 1820 Carling Avenue.

Day 2 (August 6th), is the Flag Raising Ceremony at Festival Plaza, 110 Laurier Avenue, West, commencing at 11:00am.

Jamday will be at Mooney’s Bay Park (2960 Riverside Drive) on August 8th, the final day of celebrations. There will be performances by Gyptian, Luciano, Fabian Marley, Jahreefa, Starr Blacks, Dredon as well as Jamaica’s 2015 Dancing Dynamites winner. In addition to the live show there will be children’s village, Jamday Idol contest, Food Pavillion and so much more!
