New York City’s premier summer concert, Groovin In The Park, is famous for creating seismic jolts with the superlative quality of artists announced each year, and this year’s event is no exception. CEO and founder of Groovin, Chris Roberts has just announced two blistering additions to the 2015 reggae segment; spell-binding performer and lyrical crafts master Stitchie, and sing-along hit machine Coco Tea.

The announcement of these two exciting additions was made on Saturday morning on Groovin’ Radio 93.5 FM. Stitchie has enjoyed a dazzing career in both dancehall and gospel. He has churned out a barrage of #1 hits including ‘Wear Yu Size’, ‘Natty Dread’, ‘Big Broad Hips’, ‘Night & Day’, ‘Bun It Dung’, ‘Dress To Impress’ and many more, and his electrifying showmanship alongside his lyrical genius have brought him rave reviews all over the world- from the dancehalls and church halls of Jamaica to the mega-size concert stadiums of Europe and Japan. He was the first dancehall artist to be signed by Atlantic Records, and the only dancehall artist to have been conferred with an honorary doctorate degree.

He was recently named ”Best Performer’ by popular consensus at last year’s Rebel Salute concert in Jamaica. Stitchie’s hot new single ‘Dear Dad’ is burning up the airwaves both in Jamaica as well as across the airwaves in the United States, and radio listeners as well as dancehall fans can’t seem to get enough of this piercing, hard-hitting joint.

With his smooth, silky vocals and his riveting performance style, Cocoa Tea has captivated reggae audiences all over the world, including here in the United States, in Canada, across the Caribbean and in Japan.

“Both Stitchie and Cocoa Tea are icons in reggae music, and both are astonishing performers “, Chris Roberts, CEO of Groovin’ In The Park declared. “We are thrilled to welcome both to the stage of Groovin In The Park this year, and I am sure that both will deliver nothing less than a blistering performance”, Roberts continued.
