At a press briefing today, Jamaica’s Prime Minister, The Honorable Andrew Holness, announced that the current covid-19 protocols will be extended to the 6th of October. That being said, the 8PM to 5AM daily curfew remains in effect (until the morning of the 7th), and no more than 15 persons are allowed to congregate in public.

As it relates to the reopening of schools; October 5th is still the date. However, learning will be done virtually as opposed to in person. For additional information please visit the JIS website.
