The long awaited Simmer Down Festival returns to the beautiful setting of Handsworth Park. Now in its seventh year, the free open-air event is one of the biggest music and arts festivals in the UK. Celebrating Birmingham’s rich cultural diversity, the festival offers fun for all the family including live performances, arts workshops, participation activities, children and young people’s meadow area, plus information and craft stalls and a belly-busting range of food stalls as well as a licensed bar area.

Confirmed to headline this year is the internationally acclaimed Jamaican reggae ambassador, Freddie McGregor, alongside West Midland’s conscious roots messenger Macka B plus many of Birmingham’s finest artists, musicians and DJ’s.
