Starting Wednesday, April 22nd, the entire island of Jamaica will be under new and strict curfew hours. The newly announced curfew will be from 6 AM to 6 PM, which means that no one will be allowed on the road between the hours of 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning. The only exempted persons are licensed public transportation operators, who are able to start their day at 5 AM.
These new orders were put in place because of the rapid spike in the number of corona virus cases in the country. Jamaica now has a total of 223 confirmed COVID19 persons; with a total of 5 deaths.
