Festival goers and music lovers from around the globe will descend upon the Nevada County Fairgrounds July 11-14 for the 23rd annual California WorldFest. With seven stages of music, more than 50 artists from around the world, and a full workshop and educational schedule, WorldFest has set itself apart from other music festivals throughout the region.

One of the main headliners for the 2019 staging is the Jamaican music group, which is best known for their ska and rock-steady vocal style Toots and the Maytals. The Maytals were formed in the early 1960s and were key figures in popularizing reggae music.

On Saturday, March 23rd, Stereo Vybz Entertainment will be hosting the Lava Ground Reggae Fest. It will be held at the West Indian American Center – located at 3340 Main Street – in Hartford, Connecticut.

Headlining acts are: the Lava Ground king himself, I Wayne and Canadian reggae artist, Exco Levi. Both men will be supported by Vitchous, Princess Haile, Kashu and King Lorde. Music will be provided by Stereo Vybz Sound and King AP.

Dark Star presents the seventh annual Jamaican Jam In The Sand at the Jewel Paradise Cove Resort and Spa in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, from January 15th through to the 19th, 2019.

The nights will be spent under the stars with the Dark Star Orchestra performing a full 2-Set show each of the 4 Nights. Joining DSO will be The Wailers (2 Sets) and Green Leaf Rustlers (3 Sets) featuring Chris Robinson, John Molo, Pete Sears, Greg Loiacono & Barry Sless on the palm tree covered beachfront stage.

The Skajamz Band, based in Florida, is getting ready to release the remastered version of their trending single Simmer Down. The hit song, which was originally released by Bob Marley & The Wailers, was remixed by Skajamz Band and has gotten great reviews from industry insiders.

In an attempt to fully exploit the record, Skajamz has remastered their version and will be publishing it on January 11th. That being said, the single can now be pre-ordered via iTunes.
