‘Hungry Days’ is laced with a heavy, rootsy baseline and Bengali drums. There is also a solid groove of acoustic guitar melodies that swings into the mix. Sheldon’s melodious voice is heard in the first line but he moves from smooth to a harsher DJ sound with lyrics relatable to an everyday human story.

The song speaks to social inequalities and political injustices faced by the poor, linking back to the colonial days. He cites the need to break through those mental constraints in order to emerge triumphantly.
