Its all system go for the 3rd annual Oracabessa Festival set for Memorial Monday May 30, 2016 at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, NY.
Reggae’s newest musical sensation Nesbeth is one of the many performers who will grace the Oracabessa stage. The “My Dream” singer raised his international profile at the Prime Minster’s swearing-in ceremony at Kings House in Jamaica earlier this year. NY area music fans will get the opportunity to see him perform live in concert for the first time at the Oracabessa Festival.
Eight year after he performed with Gargamel Buju Banton and reggae canary Barrington Levy at a Mothers Day Reggae Festival at Madison Square Gardens in NY, dancehall DJ Super ‘Don Dadda’ Cat returns to the ‘Big Apple’ for his only NY area performance this year. Cat’s performance is eagerly anticipated and have left many die hard dancehall fans wondering what will he deliver for his Memorial day set. With hits songs like “Cry Fi De Youth,” “Don Dada”, “Ghetto Red Hot,” stateside hit “Dem No Worry We” which featured Jamaican born US rapper Heavy D and “Boops,” the DJ who was christened William Anthony Maragh has the catalogue to set the park ablaze.
Other popular recorders set to performer include Ken Boothe, Mighty Sparrow and Version
