00-hiawondahA poet and lyricist, Hiawondah, was born Brian Forrester in Clarendon, Jamaica. His migration to the United States enhanced his creativity and experience in music. His magnetic performances always leave a blazing sensation wherever he goes hence his popularity in the New York, Tri-State area.

According to Hiawondah, he is here to assist in the mental and physical uprising of Jah people. He has a strong sense of cultural spiritual and mental upliftment. Inspired by many revolutionaries such as King Emanuel, Charles Edward, Marcus Garvey and Emperor Selassie I of Ethiopia, Hiawondah exudes great confidence in his lyrics and promotes positive vibes. You May also find that some of his lyrics are relative to the issues that many people are faced with on a day to day basis.

Hiawondah has done collaborations with many artists and is featured on several compilation albums. He has voiced for quite a few record labels. His first album “We Different,” was released in 2010 by Irie Vybz Muzik. Hit songs like “Patriot,” “Touch The Road” and “If You Love” are just a few of the tracks that were in heavy rotation in Far Rockaway, NYC. Hiawondah also did a powerful single entitled “Teach” for CD Run.

In 2015 Hiawondah released his second album, and EP called “Egyptian Chronicle” containing 6 powerful and unique tracks.  Hiawondah’s “Egyptian Chronicle” EP is a positive and uplifting Reggae Release by Ites Of Life Music. It is distributed by Zojak Worldwide and available on iTunes now.
