Jah Cure to Release New Album this Summer (@TheRealJahCure)

00-Jah-CureNext month a long awaited album will be released by Jah Cure. The new studio album, The Cure (VP Records) was co-produced by him with the help of reggae producers like Christopher “Sketch” Carey, Clive Hunt, Llmar “Riff Raff” Brown, Justin “Jus Bus” Nation and Trevor “Baby G” Washington James.

The Cure features recent hits like his #1 reggae chart-topping John Legend cover “All of Me” (which received over 5 million YouTube views), “Rasta” (currently #1 on Clinton Lindsay’s NY reggae singles chart), “That Girl” and “Life We Live” as well as brand new singles including “No Friend of Mine” “Made In California,”  “I Surrender” and many more.

The 13-track album, set to be released on July 10, is a return to roots reggae and lover’s rock with R&B and pop-fused elements. Cure did not have the typical road to stardom. The Montego Bay native just began his musical career, with reggae veterans like Capleton, Sizzla and Beres Hammond taking him under his wing, when it came to a halt after a controversial case that led to incarceration. He rose back to popularity later, after releasing multiple acclaimed albums such as Free Jah Cure, Ghetto Life and Freedom Blues. Some featuring collaborations with Rick Ross and Jazmine Sullivan.

Anaicon Gets Ready To Release Debut Album (@anaicon14 @OsujahRecords)

Anaicon pictureThe combination of humility, charm, vibrant passion for music, respectfulness and appreciation for life and the universe, are only some of the facets of Anaicon’s personality that appeals to anyone who comes in contact with him.

Anaicon entered the Magnum Kings and Queens Talent Competition in 2013 where he was a formidable and impressionable contestant. He advanced to the ‘Face Off’ round where he was eliminated due to his positive lyrical content. Anaicon does not believe in, or support artists bashing each other in the name of music.

Since then he has been signed to, and working with Osujah Records. The Osujah team is now working ceaselessly to get tracks ready for Anaicon’s debut album which they hope to have ready this year. There is definitely a demand for the artist after music lovers heard his songs ‘true identity’ and ‘can’t tame’ (see videos below)

Lt. Stitchie’s Autobiography, The Power Of Determination, Is Now Available Online (@kingstitchie)

Lt. Stitchie’s Autobiography, The Power Of Determination, Is Now Available OnlineRev. Dr. Cleve Laing, aka Lt. Stitchie the Governor, has taken the bar of versatility to new heights, by adding to his already highly decorated accolades & accomplishments the title of Author, with the self publishing of his autobiography entitled “THE POWER OF DETERMINATION”.

From the dancehall to the altar, Stitchie reveals in this powerful book the source of the creative energy that has made him such an outstanding musical talent. It all comes from the power of determination. Starting with his experiences as a mischievous child growing up in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Stitchie tells us about the influential people who steered him in the right direction.

First of all, he honors his mother for nurturing in him the foundation values of decency, honesty and discipline that have shaped his character. Stitchie also pays tribute to his many teachers, especially those at the Tivoli Gardens Comprehensive High, who helped him in many practical ways to stay in school and out of trouble. In this honest account of good friends and bad, Stitchie doesn’t hide the truth about the terrible wages of sin and crime. Bad company can lead well-intentioned youth to their death. But the power of determination can bring you back on track when temptation pushes you down the path of destruction. And there is quite a lot of humor in Stitchie’s story. He certainly knows how to tek bad things mek joke.

This is a serious book that illustrates just how much each of us can accomplish when we set our mind to it and accept the power of divine guidance in our lives. Professor Carolyn Cooper.

Josey Wales Joins Charlie Chaplin and Brigadier Jerry for ‘Reeewind’ (@IrishandChin)

Charlie Chaplin, Josey Wales and Brigadier Jerry

The legendary Josey Wales officially kicked off summer with a bang by delivering explosive performances at major music festivals, including the popular “Best of the Best” in Miami, Florida and “Oracabessa” in Queens, New York. The response to the deejay’s shows have been overwhelming, with fans decrying, “Josey has still got it!” Thousands witnessed the ace deejay in action, commanding the crowd better than many of his young peers. A lot more lies in store for the invigorated Wales, who’s phenomenal festival stints, have amassed media attention. Next up is a long awaited performance at Irish and Chin’s “Reeewind” on Saturday, July 18, 2015, when Wales will join Brigadier Jerry and Charlie Chaplin for a “Three the Hard Way” Spectacular.”

At the premiere event of it’s kind, “Reeewind” will provide patrons with 4 non-stop hours of Rub-a-Dub music and culture! Fans will be in for a special treat as Josey Wales “The Colonel,” Charlie Chaplin “The Colonel” and Brigadier Jerry “The General” reunite for unforgettable freestyle toasting over powerhouse “riddims” provided by the historic New York sound Downbeat. When the “Three the Hard Way” touch the stage, pure music mayhem and flashbacks to a time when Rub-a-Dub culture and sound systems reigned supreme, will overcome the Amazura Entertainment Complex. This epic event will mark Josey Wales’ very first “Reeewind” performance and hence, the first time “Three the Hard Way” will grace the “Reeewind” stage. This unprecedented reunion at “Reeewind” has been years in the making and by the fans’ demand, it will happen.

While sparring partners Josey Wales and Charlie Chaplin hail from King Stur Gav, Brigadier Jerry rose to prominence on Jah Love (with intermittent stints on King Stur Gav through out his career). Yet, when sharing the stage, this group of deejays boast an unprecedented chemistry and affinity for unique and precise lyrical delivery, while grounded on cultural and social themes. Rising as a force to be reckoned with at the peak of the Rub-a-Dub era, the deejays dominated as live performers, rather than recording artists. On Saturday, July 18, 2015 when Josey Wales’ half spoken and half sung style meets Charlie Chaplin’s “rapid-fire” delivery of humor and social commentary and Brigadier Jerry’s lyrical acrobats and melodic style of chanting, Amazura will be afforded a genuine and unique perspective of Caribbean entertainment.
In a colossal event being billed as  “Singers Meet DJs,” “Reeewind” will feature a who’s who of Reggae artists. Also slated on the powerhouse line up are Freddie McGregor, Cocoa Tea, Richie Spice, Shinehead, General Trees and Carlton Livingston, backed by Mighty Crown and Downbeat. Fans should brace themselves, as there may even be surprise guests.
